Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
My son's Nintendo DS lite won't turn on at all. The light won't even turn on. I tried recharging it but that didn't work. Before this though, he dropped it & the top part (where the screen is) became very loose. It wouldn't stay up on its own. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it at all. I need to know if this can be repaired or if I should just buy a new one. Thank you
Hi there, when you plug the charger in does the light go red and then turn off again? It sounds to me like the connection from the top screen to the bottom section of the console that contains the mainboard has become damaged or loose which is causing the console to short circuit. It is also possible that it has blown the fuse due to the loose connection, the fuse is F2 which can be repaired and as long as the loose connection is resolved then the console would then power up fine. Obviously the top part of the console which will not stand up on its own is a different problem and is caused either by a crack in the casing or a broken hinge barrel. It can be repaired by someone who knows what they are doing - I do repairs of this kind frequently. Hope this helps!
