Question about Husqvarna Garden

Mahindra tractor diagnostics

I have a Husquarvana YTH150 Riding Lawnmower with a 42" deck. Not when I have blades on, but when I release the brake I hear a roaring sound coming from the lower shaft of the motor that drives the rear end. Don't understand, mower still moves like it should & doesn't make noise w/ just the blades on...only hear noise when I release brake, but only thing clutch driven is the blades???????

You are going to have to disconnect belt and try to turn pulleys on drive system to locate the excact location. It sounds like a belt tension or bearing problem to me.

SOURCE: lawn tractor won't stay running if clutch is released.

There is an operator presence switch under the seat...it is more than likely faulty and must be replaced in order for the mower to run right.

SOURCE: I have a troy bilt riding mower blades will not engage in the 1 or 2 deck setting

There is a spring attached to a tensioner that probably came unhooked while changing the belt. Higher deck settings push the deck backwards enough to spin the blades, the lower setting need the spring tensioner to take up the slack in the belt.

I have a 42 inch poulan with hydrostatic the engine starts but when i release the brake the engine stops

Check your deck and blades for debris. Also, with engine off, take deck belt off one pulley so all move freely and spin blades one at a time. You should find out quickly wich one is locked up.

I have a sears craftsman riding lawnmower LT2000 model #917.273751 18hp intek engine 42in deck.Engine runs fine but when I release the clutch-brake pedal engine stalls.seems like an intermitent problem...

There are other safety switches as well. The electrical diagram shows (2) of the interlock switches (part no. 16 in diagram) in the electrical system. The location of the 2nd one could be on the transmission or the clutch/brake pedal. It could also be on the PTO system (blade actuator if you will). See if you can find the other switch on your unit. I have an LT1000 and have NOT looked for them. Here is an electrical diagram on your unit.

My craftsman riding lawnmower will not start unless jumpstarted off the starter and while mowing the blades will stop turning even on the two highest setting for the deck and the grass isn' t that high?

Sounds like your starter is bad and that could be causing your blades not to work if you have a cvt type clutch. If you don't i would check your belt it may be stretched out.

Idles fine, shuts down when release brake.

It could be the brake switch bad, if this model came with one. When it is depressed it will start, but when it is released it may not be switching to stay running.

Cut grass clippings does not get picked up by riding lawnmower

When using a bagger, you need correct blades on mower or Worn blades will cause the deck not to get the vacuum needed for the bagger to pickup.

I have a craftsman riding lawnmower and the blade engagement is not starting the blades when i lift it. It feels loose when i lift it.

Sounds like you PTO cable is broken. Part # 175067. It goes from the lever on the dash down to a deck mount and hooks to the idler pulley. When you lift the lever, it should pull the pulley and idler arm towards the rear of the deck to tighten the belt to engage the blades.
