Question about Washing Machines
What kind of washer and model # ? Sounds like.. You have a bad pressure switch or the small hose connecting to the pressure switch may be bad or the connection on the switch or tub is linking air pressure I seen where mice had chewed holes in them

Check the presure dome hose at the presure switch and at the dome if all looks fine an you have a bad fill valve,let the washer fill start filling leave it on,now unplug the washer if the water keeps coming in then the valve is bad-mike

try replacing your water selenoid coming in. remember it isnt a mechanical timer it is a computerized timer, so if the selenoid isnt the problem, it might be the computerized timer. computers are very finicky, pain in the a- -!

SOURCE: washing machine will not spin
Hi, If this model has a belt, you might need to replace it. Once the belt gets wet, they are ruined. If the motor runs during the spin cycle and the tub does not turn, it is most likely the belt. If the motor is not running in the spin cycle, we need to look at other causes. If I can assist you further, please get me a model # so I can see exactly what washer you have.
