This happens on installing vista the first time If u can install despite this message(ignore), then restart in safe mode and if your Vista is genuine then ask microsoft to send this particular file(SHELL32 if I h'nt forgotten) replace where the original is supposed to be and after that it should be fine. The Only other option is to Install WinXP_SP3 & enjoy.....sodeep

You can remove the Dell support from your add/remove programs. This support is installed on all Dell systems in factory. Once your warranty runs out, it is pretty worthless because you still have to pay for support.
Go to start, control panel and click on add/remove programs.
Look for Dell Support or help and uninstall it. Reboot computer and the error message will go away!
