best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

LG 42LK530T connect to internet via an ethernet cable

Hello pjd 28,

not too sure what the issue is but if your having problems connecting to the internet via ethernet, there is a few things you need to know. It all depends on what your tv functions. Also if your computer is DLNA compatablie, then you can stream videos on to your tv. You cannot just surf the web like you do on you computer. TV's like samsung 7000 series has this option. If your tv has applications such as youtube, then you can connect your ethernet to your modem. It should connect automatically, but if it doesn't then go to network settings on your tv through the menu on your remote and see if it says that it is connected to your network SSID. Good luck.

How to hook up tv with internet hard wired to existing router with wireless connection to computer ip address on computer will not connect tv to internet help

Assuming that you have an "IP" TV, run an Ethernet cable from the TV to one of the LAN ports on the router.

Run another Ethernet cable from your computer to one of the other LAN ports on the router.

Both the TV and the computer should now have Internet access.

Do you have a third computer that has a "wireless" connection to the router?

Im am trying to connect my cox cable box to my LG computer monitor and if i try and input the screen just goes black

You can't directly connect any cable connections to a computer monitor. You will either have to connect the cable box to a network router or to your computer tower via stantard Ethernet cables if this is for Internet usage.
If you are trying to connect this for viewing "Cable/TV" content, then you would have to have some kind of TV card installed and connect the coax/antenna cable to that connection.

Get a Wireless Access Point ($30-$50 average). A wire from WAP to the Blu-Ray player should work like a charm. The WAP pretty much takes your wireless connection and transforms it back to a wired Ethernet connection for devices like this. You can have your Wireless Router on one side of your house and the WAP on the other, right next to your blu-ray player with a short Ethernet connection between the two. The player will just see it as a standard Ethernet connection.
