If you suspect that there is a fault then it will be displayed by blinking LED "END OF CYCLE". As the display of failure in hexadecimal code it can flash up to max. 15 times than short pause and after that repeat fault code. You must to count the number of times the LED "END OF CYCLE" flash up.

Example from user manual: Anti-flood device is activated.
- continuous flashing of the indicator light of the running programme
- 3 intermittent audible signals
- 3 flashes of the END OF CYCLE indicator light
(which means "i30" fault code, the cycle is interrupted and the
drain pump switches on).
Possible causes:
Water leakage from the tub - sump and various connections
(pump, upper spray arm duct etc.); floating sensor blocked
mechanically; microswitch faulty; fill solenoid blocked
mechanically; circuit board faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited);
wiring faulty.
Could be also:
To cancel a washing programme in progress:
- Open the dishwasher's door.
- Press the programme selection/cancel button for about 3 seconds,
until the indicator light of the running programme turns off and the
END OF CYCLE indicator light flashes, indicating that the running
programme has been cancelled and that the machine has
returned to setting mode. It is now possible to select another
washing programme. If a new washing programme will be
selected, check that there is detergent in the detergent dispenser.

NOTE: only during the drying phase, if the dishwasher's door will be opened and remains open for more then 30 seconds, the running programme will be automatically cancelled and the machine will return to setting mode. This will happen, always only during the drying phase, also when the machine is switched off by pressing the
On/Off button and remains switched off for more then 30 seconds.

Alarm conditions during operation of the dryer

The LEDs begin to flash if one of the following malfunctions occurs:

• NTC open (the LEDs flash in sequence from right to left)
• NTC short-circuited (the LEDs flash in sequence from right to left)
• If the START button is pressed for more than 20 seconds while a cycle is in operation all the LEDs flash.

If the microprocessor identifies one of the conditions listed above, operation of the dryer is interrupted; the LEDs continue to flash in order to warn the user of the malfunction.
If the error is eliminated, the dryer returns to normal operation when the programme selector knob is turned to RESET and the drying cycle is re-selected.

and clear any bits of bra wire etc

then reset the machine {usually hold power in and apply the mains}

It could be anything but one of the most likely things is a faulty door switch. What were the circumstances leading up to the fail ? Have you checked the filter? Is there any water in the machine?
Try unplugging it and leave it off for 15 mins.
difficult without any more clues...

Hoover (Nextra series) washing machines

The 'Start' & 'Pause' LED's will flash together to indicate the error code. You have to count the flashes within each 15 second period to get that error code. The start and the pause LED's will flash together at 1Hz (i.e 1 flash per second) within that 15 second time frame, then will continue and show again within another 15secs and so on.

1 Flash = Interlock fault
2 Flashes = Fill time-out
3 flashes = Drain time-out
4 flashes = Overfill fault presure pipe blocked
5 flashes = NTC error
6 flashes = faulty control board
7 flashes = Motor jammed
8 flashes = Tacho fault
9 flashes = Motor triac on module board
10 flashes = Prog Selector or wiring fault

my disher washer dls 535 starts programme then lights 2 and 3 start flashing and does not work

11 LED flashes indicates either a wiring fault or I'm afraid the main board has gone (Hoover Engineer required).

Make sure the filter is clean, its behind the front bottom panel which just pull off, then unscrew the filter thumb wheel until it comes out. Check it is clean and replace, Now unplug the machine and set the programme to your normal start setting leaving the door open. Remove the screws retaining the back panel and unplug all the connectors to the circuit board found in the bottom left hand corner. Turn the power back on ensuring the red LED illuminates and leave for 2 or 3 minutes before unplugging the power again and reconnecting the circuit boards and replacing the back panel. Reconnect the power and turn the machine on, close the door and with luck it will work. If this does not clear the fault repeat the process again or look on ebay for a new machine!
