SOURCE: The plumber reversed our hot

I dont know if you really want to hear this but the faucet will have to be replumbed. The way this works is on the faucet you have 2 inputs (hot and cold) if they are not in there proper feed ports they will have to be removed and installed correctly. if they are installed using flex lines you can probably do it yourself but if its hard plumed (copper pipe) it will be more difficult as the pipes will have to be cut and moved.

If some taps have really hot and others luke warm, then you might have defective mixing valve, check valve, or crossover on single handled faucet.

Crossover can also cause stacking event. Stacking could be part of puzzle.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Stacking.html

Once crossover or check valve or mixing valve problem is solved, if you have really hot water to some taps, then turn down thermostat to avoid scalding.

biggest issue with any gas oven is a faulty ignitor, not maintaining oven temp, too long to preheat, taking too long to cook, possible slight gas smell during operation, all signs of a bad ( or going bad) ignitor
