Question about Canon iPF825 InkJet Plotter Printer

Open Question

Should you have to restart a canon ipf825 for every use

We have a Canon ipf825 that has to be rebooted every day for use. It keeps filling ink tanks and checking nozzle over and over. It already has a new maintenance cartridge filled to 40%. We can't afford the ink at that rate. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Canon MX850. Print blank after ink changes.

That is a common problem on all Canon printers, the purge assembly on the right where the printhead parks, has a pump inside and hoses that go to the filters and ink absorbers. When that unit goes out you need a replacement. A job best done in a shop. When the printhead is not cleaned and primed properly you get blank pages no matter how full the inks are.

I have a canon mg5320 printer. I just filled 4 of yhe 5 cartridges but it still shows them almost empty, what can I do?

This is perfectly normal. Your printer has no idea you filled the cartridges. Keep using the printer - until it stops with 'ink out' error, then press the 'OK' button (on printer) momentarily. If that clears the error, you can resume printing.
If pressing OK doesn't do anything, press and HOLD the 'STOP' button for about 6 seconds - or until the error clears. This will disable the ink monitor - for the 'empty' cartridge.
You will have to repeat same process for each cartridge that turns 'empty'. Once all cartridges are disabled, you don't have to do anything - except keep refilling the ink.

How to refill a canon lbp 2900 printer cartridge

  1. Remove the old ink jet cartridge from the printer following the manufacturer instructions. Close the lid on the printer to keep it free from dust and debris while you are refilling the Canon ink cartridge.

  2. 2

Locate the ink tank on the cartridge. Put a 3mm drill bit in a drill. Drill a hole in the top of the ink tank on the cartridge.

  3. 3

Gently insert the needle on the bottle of ink into the hole you just drilled in the ink cartridge. Avoid squeezing the bottle until the needle is completely inserted in the ink tank.

  4. 4

Squeeze the ink bottle gently to refill the cartridge. Fill the tank with a little at a time until the cartridge is full.

  5. 5

Remove the needle from the ink tank. Wipe the top of the Canon ink cartridge off with a paper towel. Place a small piece of duct tape over the drilled hole. Rub the tape to remove air bubbles and to make sure it adheres to the cartridge.

  6. 6

Put the refilled ink cartridge back into the printer. Clean the head of the printer by running the printer software and following the instructions for head cleaning.

Canon mp830 service error 5c310 alarm light keeps

http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/inkjet/26091
You need to clean your waste ink i think. For troubleshooting purposes, please perform the following:
1. Open the printer and remove all ink tanks.
2. Insert a single ink tank in the printer then close the cover.
3. Confirm whether the printer recognizes the installed tank
properly. If it does, it will indicate it does not detect the other ink tanks, as
they are not currently installed in the printer.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 with another ink tank.
5. If the printer at any time indicates two of the same ink tanks are
installed, the cause will be the last tank installed. For example, if
you inserted an ink tank earlier, and you later inserted another ink
tank, and it said two of the same inks were installed, the cause of
the issue is the last ink tank.

Message "wasted ink tank near full" on Canon Multipass F80

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.

Thinking of buying this printer!

This printer will require 2 different cartridges. 1 Black Ink tank - Canon PG-37 and 1 Color Ink tank - Canon CL-38. It will come with those already in it but most people don't know that they aren't completely filled from the factory. You might get about 1/3 of it to get you started and you'll quickly need to buy a refill so you might as well get it while you're there. You should also keep the top of each box in your wallet for easy reference next time you have to repurchase the ink. Finally, a caveat- with inkjet (as opposed to laser toner) it's use it or lose it as they will dry out over a few months even if not used.
Please rate this solution accordingly! Thanks and keep Fixya.com in mind with any future questions.
