It would be easier to pop your head under there and pull out the bulb and see what color the wire is that leads to the bulb.

You need a manual, there a hidden screws all over the place. You can buy a used factory manual here.

You will have to remove all the cowlings from the steering column to access the ignition lock and switch. With the correct key inserted and selected to, probably, the ACC position, you should be able to push on either a pin or a tongue that protrudes from the switch into the housing and the pull the whole lock/switch mechanism out.
