unit plays fine till about ten-twenty mins then just freezes and the only way out is off and on . does this on all cartrides.

Check both of the Connectors (DS and AGB cartridge). It sounds like there is contamination. If these seem OK then it's sounds like it might be a thermal problem withthe circuit board. Call Nintendo.
