SOURCE: Error code ER FF
The error indicates the freezer fan is not functioning properly. The
fan supplies cold air to the refrigerator that is why it seems warmer.
The fan may be frozen, try unplugging it for a few hours to let it
thaw. Also check to see if something may have gotten into the vent
holes in the freezer that could be blocking the fan from turning.

Had the same problem + a weird noise, which turned out to be ice build up on the blower fan. Unplugged overnight and then opened the lower back panel. There is a small fan that blows over some small coils at the bottom of the box. There is also a drip pan that should be "full" of water. I sponged out the drip pan, put the panel back on and then plugged back in. Works great.

SOURCE: Lg Refrigerator error code 1f
Error code 1F indicates an abnormality of the BLDC fan motor for ice making, caused by a poor BLDC motor connection, DriveIC, and TR. This information can be found in the service manual on pg. 32 of the service manual: http://136.166.4.200/contents/Fridge/LFX25960/LFX25960_Service_Manual.pdf
From the research I've done it sounds like it is usually a bad fan motor that causes this condition. This will prevent the icemaker from working. I'm not sure if it will affect the defrost cycle. If you turn off the icemaker, then either pull the plug for a few seconds or turn off the circuit breaker for a few seconds, the front panel will light up and stay lit. Then you need to call for service.
PS: I'm finding out that this refrigerator is more problems than it's worth. First it was the drawer glides breaking, then a balky ice maker, now the fan motor. From what I found out on the internet, I'm not the only one with these problems. I've only bought two LG products, the refrigerator and a small LCD HDTV, but I'm not happy with either one of them. In my opinion LG is an inferior product.
Hope this helps someone.

SOURCE: I have an LG LRSC26923TT
ER FF is a freezer fan error. Basically the mainboard is not receiving a feedback signal from the freezer fan motor within 65 seconds. When this happens the error code will come up and then none of the buttons will work.
You can clear out the error code by unplugging and plugging the machine back in. The error code will come back if the problem persists. Check around the freezer fan motor fan blades to see if ice buildup is interfering with the operation. Clearing out this ice may fix the issue.
If the problem comes back, then the fan motor may be getting ready to go out or the unit may not be defrosting properly.
Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

SOURCE: EF error code on frigidaire
My Frigidaire also got the dreaded E-F error code and stopped cooling. Technician over the phone told me to unplug it for 5 minutes and then plug it back in to see if the control board would reset itself. Did that with no luck. Unplugged the refrigerator last night while I tranferred my food to a spare fridge in the garage. Plugged the fridge back in this morning (9hrs later) and it works fine with no error codes. It looks like the control board has reset itself but how long it takes...I dont know. 10.. maybe 15 minutes? Well more than 5 at least. Guy over the phone told me that you can buy DRY ICE at a local grocery store and put it some in your freezer and a little bit in the frigdge to keep the food cold for a day. I had a spare fridge but I thought that was a good tip for anyone that needs to buy time for a tech to come repair the fridge. I had just bought $300 in groceries the night before so that tip would have come in handy if I did not have the spare fridge. I have no idea what the EF error was for but it's been 5 hours since I plugged my fridge back in and it's running fine so I'll cross my fingers. Got around to cleaning the fridge and plugging in a surge protector too. Hope this post helps someone out there.

Hello bannanderson - Are you certain the error code is CO? This manufacturer does not have any CO error codes for any refrigerator or other units. Could you please try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off? Wait approximately ten minutes and if the unit is experiencing a generic communication error, it should be follow by another error code. If it proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately.
