Use a Q-tip with alcohol to clean all the batter contacts (battery cover and inside the battery compartment), and a small hook into the compartment to pull up the contacts a little bit up. The idea is to make the batteries connect properly.
Use NiMh rechargeable batteries or Alkaline batteries, don’t use other Dry batteries, which are not designed for digital camera.

While taking some photos at work my FZ20 just stopped functioning. What could be the reason? Can it be fixed? Changed batteries no joy.

Hi, you will have to put it into a camera repair shop and ask for a quote to repair it may not be worth it if it's to costly. Or if it's still under warranty claim warranty on it.

My Kodak M531 doesn't charge its battery

I would try a new battery before a trip to the camera shop as the cost of a battery for this model is far less money than a trip to the repair shop.

My wii went off after a thunderstorm and doesn't get on anymore, can I do something to fix it? I've already changed the battery inside but nothing cheanged.

First make sure the circuit is live - Are there other things on that circuit? Do they work? If not, check that the breaker hasn't tripped, and reset it if necessary. Next, check that that specific outlet wasn't damaged. Plug something else into it. Does it work? If not, the outlet needs to be replaced. Also plug the Wii into another outlet. If it works, this also confirms the original outlet has been damaged. If the Wii still doesn't power on, the power supply has probably been damaged. Unless you can replace it yourself, it probably isn't worth having it repaired.

The framing nailer first started not firing all the time and when it did - the nail didn't go all the way in. Now - even though we installed a new cell and fully charged battery - i does nothing. ...

ive found that sometimes where the batt is inserted into the gun theres two contacts down there wit a rubber pads the contacts rest against. check and see with a flash lite if one of the rubber pads has pulled away and wraped itself around the contact, if so pull it out with needle nose pliers or what ever works.if not the problem make sure your batt is good some will read 6 volts but will have no or week current. worst case repAIR SHOP.

I have had my Easyshare M853 for more than 3 years with no problems. A few days ago it just stopped working. It will not turn on, even if I change to the spare battery. When I plug it in to charge, the...

It's likely not worth getting repaired, no. In the world of digital cameras, 3 years is unfortunately pretty old. If you have tried two different batteries, that rules out the battery as the culprit. It's likely that there is a circuit inside that is fried and is interrupting the flow of power both from and to the battery. My only suggestion would be to take the battery out for a couple of hours then put it back in and see if that does anything. It probably won't but it's worth a shot. It's probably time for a trip to your local electronics store for a new camera...

Canon 100D telling me its busy for 2 weeks

Alright, so well I just got off information from canon support, and they said to hard restart (1. take out batt/memory card 2. turn the camera to on. leave for 20 seconds 3. press shutter button 6 times 4. let sit for 30 minutes) Then to use it after those 30 minutes. If it doesn't work, just send it into canon.

Cant charge camera on dock or print photos

the dock won't charge batteries that are ni-mh kaa2hr or Li-ion battery pack - so check that

about the printer's ability to recognize the cam, try this.. remove batt, put cam on top of dock (when cameras are on a dock, they can use the dock's power so you can print pictures without batteries) check if somethign will come up on the cam screen

if not .. either would need to be sent in for repair. a digital rep will advise you to send both so the repair center can check
