SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Using 12-3/gnd how do I wire 2 gfis with protected outlets downstream?

Need clarification...12-3 means 3wires (usually black, red and white) plus a ground wire. A black white and ground wire is 12-2. Standard GFCI wiring is black to gold (screw) white to silver and ground wire to green. GFCI's have more than one way to be wired but normally come with directions. GFCI's can also be wired in conjunction with standard plugs. There are websites that will also show AC wiring diagrams which may be helpful.

My camera had a white-protection

Do you mean "write" protection instead of "white protection"? If so, look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Three times means short protection, 98% of the time it means one of the resistors that protect the convergence chips is blown.

I can tell you exactly where to look and what for---if any of the 2.2 resistors are white in the middle and gone I also have start to finish instructions for this repair.

Make a comment here and I will assist you.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for FREE.

I tried taking pictures and a message comes up on the screen "write protect". What is wrong?

That usually means the slide switch on the side of the card is in the locked position.
