I have a 2004 Dodge Caravan. Today I suffered an electrical failure. I have checked all the fuses and relays. Here are the symptoms:
The horn, radio, dome lights on ceiling, and power windows work normally.
The headlights and marker lights are on full time while the car is running; not the DRL's, but all the lights like I would have them on for night.
The headlight/marker light control, dome light control on dash, dash gauges/odometer, wiper/washer, turn signal, high beam, hazards, A/C on/off button, and power locks are non-responsive.
This occurred with a dead battery, replacing the battery got the car started, but I still have the other problems. I have also had the alternator checked.

check all the fuses and replace any that are blown. also check beattery wires and make sure the positive wires are not touching anything metal.look for burnt marks or black spots on the wires too. also have the battery fuse/relay checked.

cable damage/corrosion-fuse/relay failure -ignition failure--electrical short somewhere---need a milti-meter to check the system since their are to many reasons for something to go wrong or fail
P0685 DODGE - Auto Shutdown Relay Control Circuit Failure
Possible causes
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) power relay
- ECM power relay harness is open or shorted
- ECM power relay circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty (ECM
Possible symptoms:
Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P0685 Dodge Description:
Short or open in Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay circuit, this relay is under the hood in the relay center.
the heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) is located in the exhaust manifold/s before the cat converter/s
O2 sensors are located after the cat converters
the power train is the engine and transmission unit and the control for the sensors is the ECM
the major problem is the wires in the HO2S as they are fragile and break close to the sensor very easily
Look for blown fuses, burn fuse link cables,if the electrical part is ok,you are going to need to remove the seats, try to take off all the plastics so you can have access to electric motor, once you have access, check for signals on the connector, positive and grounds.
There is not fuse for pump but a relay in the relay block. I do suggest jumping to see if pump turns on. Test voltage from ECM if needed. If voltage is to pump, then pump is shot. If not voltage, relay may be bad
