SOURCE: white space between labels

OK, guys, I spent some time with this, and you have to do this:

If you use ZebraDesinger, go to File-Printer settings-Advanced Setup-Calibrate

The printer will need approx. 40cm of the paper (labels) to calibrate where is the begining.

After that it was working good.

Just make sure, you have input correct With and Heigh of the label.

How to do that?

-get into Label setup wizard
-choose the printer -> click on NEXT
-choose stock type and stock name (I have ALL and <NONE>) -> click on NEXT
-set Height (count with space between labels, so measure from the start of the label, till start of another and Width. -> click on NEXT
-set other settings -> click on NEXT
-set width and heigh (this time without space between labels)-> click on NEXT
-Finish

then calibrate the printer and enjoy your work.

SOURCE: Zebra 105sl - printer does not print correct size

This can happen if you have the wrong dpi setup. For instance the 105sl can be either 203dpi or 300dpi. If your printhead is 300dpi and the label you create is expecting 203dpi, then you will see shrunken label. Your situation doesn't exactly sound like this is the case but it may be worth checking.

SOURCE: change label size

Turn the power off. Remove old stock. Load new stock. Turn power on. Restart your program. Form size is software controlled from your form settings downloaded into the printer before your print. Make sure you restart your software to reload them.

On the Zebra it was printing 4x13 labels without a problem. However when I tried to print a 4x6 label it still thought there was 4x13 stock in the printer. I played around with the label format size, even...

I think this is more related to the calibration of the label each time you change the new label size. I use ZM400 and your printer should also have the same setting. Under setting, put the When Head Close setting to Calibration. This will let the calibration perform automatically when ever you load a new label size and close the print head. Well 2 label will be lost every time.

Kodak printer will not print on avery label paper. Have been on teck support with anurag s for about an hour and tried again to print labels.

Hi , i have been using avery templates and label paper at work for ages and always printed off without problems on my lexmark . I bought a Kodak however and all of a sudden I could no longer print off my labels , when I put paper in it just came out blank and said paper wrong size .I could not find any solutions at all and was tearing my hair out . I just kept trying different things and all of a sudden I changed a setting and it worked perfectly. When you go to print your label change the ' scale to paper size ' function to A4 and then it will print.
hope this helps

Please teach me how to use my HPF4185 to print envelopes. Thanks.

Hi

Use the product software, also known as the printer driver, to change the print settings for your envelope size and type. Then, use the Envelopes and Labels tool in Microsoft Word to select your envelope size.

Step one: Adjust the print settings

-In Microsoft Word, click File , and then click Print .
-Make sure that your product is in the Name drop-down list box, and then click Properties .
-Click the Features tab, or the Paper/Quality tab.
-Select an envelope size from the Size drop-down list.
-If the required paper size is not in the drop-down list, follow these steps to create a custom paper size.
-Select Custom from the drop-down list.
-In the Custom Paper Size dialog box, type a name for the new custom size.
-In the Width and Height boxes, type the dimensions.
-Select the unit of measurement, and then click Save .
-Click OK to close the Custom Paper Size dialog box, and then click OK again to close the Properties dialog box.
NOTE: You must exit the Properties dialog box to apply your changes.
Open the Properties dialog box again, and select the new custom size from the Size drop-down list.
-Select the paper type.
-In the Paper Type or Type is drop down list, click More .
-Click the desired paper type, and then click OK .
-Select the paper source from the Paper Source drop-down list.
-Change any other settings, and then click OK to close the Properties dialog box.

Step two: Set the correct envelope size

-Set the correct envelope size in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box before printing envelopes.
-In Microsoft Word, click Tools , click Letters and Mailings , and then click Envelopes and Labels .
-In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, click the Envelopes tab.
-Click Options .
-From the Envelope size drop-down list, select the required paper size. If you created a custom paper size, select the new custom paper size from the drop-down list.
-Click OK , and then click Close to close the Envelopes and Labels dialog box.
-Click File , and then click Print to print the envelope.
NOTE: When you finish printing the envelopes, return the paper size and the paper type settings to the defaults.

Riztech

When trying to print Avery Labels L7160 the top few labels print within each label 'frame' BUT towards the end of the page the labels are printed further up and therefore are out of the label 'frames' ALSO...

For Word 2007/Word 2010
1- Click on the Office button
2- Select Print then Print again.
3- In the Zoom section make sure 'Scale to paper size' is set to 'A4'
4- Click on the Properties button.
5- Click on the Paper / Quality tab, then click on Advanced.
6- In the Paper/ Output section it has Paper size. To the right you have a drop down menu . Make sure A4 is selected and not letter, then click on OK.

3- There may also be other options in your printing preferences such as 'Print Area', 'Scale to Fit Page Size' or 'Page Margins. These will all need to be set correctly for your design to print 100% e.g. Print Area set to Maximum, Scale to fit Page Size disabled and Page Margins set to Minimized.

Some printers ( for example Epson printers ) have a 'Reduce /Enlarge' facility that defaults to 94% or 97% (instead of 100%). To set this to 100% click the 'Layout' tab and in the 'Reduce/Enlarge' section select 'Custom' you should then be able to change the scaling to 100%.

I am printing individual labels and want the stop after printing the label - goes down 4 or 5 labels

You have to go into your printer settings and change the size of the "paper" you are printing to so that it matches the size of the labels you are printing to.

Printer labels do not line up with document as typed in Word using the Avery set label size. I type labels for Christmas cards. Previous years have had no trouble at all on other printers but now top of...

The only way I could get round it was to type one page of the labels, then print on plain paper. Check with label size then go back to screen and individually change the labels that were misaligned. Then when I printed on to a label page it was correct. Time consuming but at least I didn't waste any labels that way, only paper.

I found out that each time you print from the manual load tray, i.e. letters and labels, once you have the paper in the manual load tray press print and then press the demo button to start the manual feed. I hope this helps.

Problems with avery mac label expert

To reset the size in your printer to the correct A4 size, do this:
Go to your Applications folder on your hard drive.
In it, you will find a Utilities folder.
Inside that folder, you will find a folder called "Printer Setup Utility."
Inside THAT folder, you will find a list of printers you have connected to your Mac.
Click on one. You will see, at the top of your screen, a set of menus. Click on the "Printer Setup Utility" menu at the far left.
Choose "Preferences" from the drop-down list.
You will see a dialog box with three options: Printing, Sharing, and Faxing. If Printing is not automatically displayed, click on the Printing tab.
At the bottom of the Printing dialog box, you will see another pull-down menu: "Default paper size in page setup"
Choose A4, or whatever size you wish.
Close up all the boxes, and print your labels to your heart's content.
When you're done with your labels, don't forget to repeat this process to switch your printer back to your ordinary size paper.
Hope this helps.
