loud your battery again and see if ti keep running it down--if yes check the battery loading size it suppose to be around 12-13.
less then 9-10 in most cases it's the alternator cause another thing is your battery could be out of work

The kit is located at the rear of the range right near the gas valve, there are probably 5 spuds and an extender for the large burner, directions are with the range. For the bake and broil you will need to tighten the brass orifice nuts down as tight as possible, also the brass nut on the gas valve needs to be reversed
your local LP dealer should be able to do this for you if you are uncomfortable doing it yourself.

Where do all orifices go on anything gas? Right there where the burner meets gas valve. The air shutter sits right in front of the orifice for proper air to gas ratio right.Go out and look at yer gas grill. Where the burners meet the gas valve ye shall find the orifice.

As far as I can tell on the wiring diagram for this generator there is no voltage regulator unless it's incorporated with the auto throttle unit.
To lower the voltage you need to lower the speed of the generator engine. To do this there should be a screw on top of the engine under the tank when your facing the recoil. This screw presses on a arm that controls your governor. Turning it in (righty tighty) will increase rpms, turning it out will lower them. You should see the voltage change on the voltmeter.

What is causing the battery to drain?


Running the car will drain the battery it if it's not charging ! An if your charging light is on it isn't charging ! Did you check power an grounds on the alternator ? There is a single heavier wire on the back of the alternator, this should have battery voltage ! You may want to take this to a ASE certified repair shop !
Functionality
With the ignition switch in the RUN position, voltage is applied through the warning indicator I circuit 904 (LG/RD) to the voltage regulator. This turns the regulator on, allowing current to flow from battery sense A circuit 35 (OG/LB) to the generator field coil. When the engine is started, the generator begins to generate alternating current (AC) which is internally converted to direct current (DC). This current is then supplied to the vehicle's electrical system through the output (B+) terminal of the generator.
Once the generator begins generating current, a voltage signal is taken from the generator stator and fed back to the regulator S circuit 4 (WH/BK). This voltage feedback signal (typically half the battery voltage) is used to turn off the warning indicator.
With the system functioning normally, the generator output current is determined by the voltage of the A circuit 35 (OG/LB). The A circuit 35 (OG/LB) voltage is compared to a set voltage internal to the regulator, and the regulator controls the generator field current to maintain the correct generator output.
The set voltage will vary with temperature and is typically higher in cold temperatures and lower in warm temperatures. This allows for better battery recharge in the winter and reduces the chance of overcharging in the summer.
Battery Positive Output (B+) Circuit 38 (BK/OG)
The generator output is supplied through the battery positive output (B+) terminal on the back of the generator to the battery and electrical system.
I Circuit 904 (LG/RD)
The I (ignition) circuit 904 (LG/RD) is used to turn on the voltage regulator. This circuit is powered up with the ignition switch in the RUN position. This circuit is also used to turn the charging system warning indicator on if there is a fault in the charging system operation.
A Circuit 35 (OG/LB)
The A (battery sense) circuit 35 (OG/LB) is used to sense battery voltage. This voltage is used by the regulator to determine generator output. This circuit is used to supply current to the generator field (rotor). The amount of current supplied to the rotor will determine generator output.
S Circuit 4 (WH/BK)
The S (stator) circuit 4 (WH/BK) is used to feed back a voltage signal from the generator to the regulator. This voltage is used by the regulator to turn off the charging system warning indicator. The S circuit is fed back externally on external mounted regulator generators.

    • With the engine running, the charging system warning indicator light should be off.

  1. If the customer concern is verified after the initial inspection, refer to the Symptom Chart to determine which tests to carry out.
    • The charging system warning indicator is on with the engine running (the system voltage does not increase)
    • Circuitry.
    • Voltage regulator.
    • Generator.
    • GO to Pinpoint Test B .
    Your whole problem is the alternator is not charging , a couple tests with a volt meter would tell you !

Why won't the pilot light stay lit?


You have a "pilot generator" that sits in the flame of the pilot light. This generates a low voltage output from the flame of the pilot light. This voltage goes to the gas valve and tells the valve that the pilot is lit and to keep the pilot gas line open.
In almost all cases replacing the pilot generator will resolve the issue . They run about $60-$75.
Other causes may be the gas valve itself or a short in the safety loop, in either case should be looked at by a pool tech.

I have a Titan 7000 generator I just bought used. It needed a capacitor, so I bought one from Titan. It starts and runs ok but at an idle it barely put out enough power to light a light bulb. If I increase...

ok this is how generators work principally when the engine starts it will just tick over ( 700/ 850 rpm. ) but once you plug in for electric power the generator engine automatically speed up . this is done by two item as the voltage regulator demands more power the governor
open up to increase speed engine .
solution check that the mechanical part of the governor is not sticking , check that air filter is not clogged up as this also stops the governor to function properly

Can a weber spirit e210 natural gas grill be converted to LP gas? I won the grill but don't have natural gas at my home


Weber sells conversion kits. Basically, you need a new regulator and manifold to accommodate LP instead of the existing regulator/manifold setup for natural gas. Unfortunately, Weber does not sell their parts online. Their parts phone # is: 877-731-8081

They can be run on natural gas however since 2009 Webber stopped selling conversion kits for their grills. (Liability issues) Anyway the regulator in most cases and all of the burner orifices need to be changed. On high end grills it is a matter of changing the regulator and adjusting the burner orifices and air flow to obtain the proper burner fire. You may be able to contact a BBQ specialty shop and they may sell you a conversion kit after you sign a liability release form. Most will insist that you bring the grill to the store for conversion AND that they install the NG regulator at the place of use. By law.... all gas conversions must be performed by a licensed technician.

Natural gas orifice burners


Before you get too involved, check to see if the natural gas orifices are still with the range. Usually, when the conversion is done, the person who converts the range puts the original natural gas orifices into the holder which contained the LP ones, then replaces it. Look for an inch and a half long metal strip holding the four brass orifices held on by one screw very near the range gas regulator. (the regulator is the part the gas line connects to on the range) Also, look for the conversion instructions in the original installation and set up instructions, or attached to a sheet of paper on the back of the range. You will need to change the plunger in the regulator (Unscrew the cap, flip the plunger around, and replace) and turn the orifice spud on the bake and broiler burners three full turns counter-clockwise also. (using a 1/2 inch open end wrench, counting twelve 1/4 turns) Orifices will require a 7mm or 9/32 inch nut driver or socket to change. The orifices are different for the simmer, regular, and high output burners. (have a "I", "II" and "III" marked on them to help identify them, respectively.) The left two burners are both "regular output" burners, and use the same orifices.

It is possible that your voltage regulator is shot but before purchasing the volt regulator try flashing the fields first and make sure the brushes and rings are clean.

67 votage display on generator output.


Please stop making new problem threads each time you answer, instead post a comment to one of the 5 threads you already have open for this problem. It's getting hard to follow the conversation :-)

OK, now to the problem. You say you have checked 67 volts is displayed on the generator output, I think this means that you see 67 volts on the control panel display when the generator is running. This can be several different problems:
a) a bad CT/PT module that tells the controller the wrong voltage
b) a bad A/D module inside the controller itself
c) a bad voltage regulator

Get a real DMM meter and measure the voltages at the top side of the output (large) circuit breaker of the generator. Put the black lead of the meter on the neutral wire and then measure to each of the phase wires on the circuit breaker. If you get normal voltages then you probably have a bad A/D, if you get 67 volts on all 3 phases you have some other problem.

You still haven't told me what model/spec of generator this is, look on the data sticker on the generator cabinet.
