Yes, there is a way to test the capacitor. The safest way is to shut the power off and leave it alone for at leas 10 minutes. Then take it out and using an analog ohm meter (with a needle) touch the 2 test leads to the two terminals. The needle should jump, then slowly go back to zero. Reverse the leads and the results should repeat. Do this several times, as the needle may not move the first time. also, check each terminal to the outside case. There should be Infinate resistance from each terminal to the case. If the capacitor is good, there is another problem. If the capacitor is bad, you need to find a lennox part source. Give them the model and serial number of the unit and they will make the correct capacitor appear.

If you are good with a multimeter and amp meter, ask me for a mathmaatical way to calculate the capacitance. It requires building a small test device and use of a calculator.

Normally all Lennox handler beeps right after turning on and off, but if beeps all the time it might be that there is an error with the handler or it beeps because it was program to beep when going on and off. Please refer to your user manual for any beeping error.

Lennox HS26-060 condensing unit, not runing. Is there anyway to test the run capacitor? Also, there is no numbers or writing on the capacitor. How do you know what size to order?

We have a Lennox furnas. It runs on propane. Sometimes it will not come on. If we turn off the switch by the fuse before the furnas, it will usually come on. This is not 100%. I have installed a new...

The unit is locking out on a safety. Do you have the model number of the heater? How old is it? This may not be a minor problem. You may want to call a Lennox dealer to assist you.

Help. Wrong suction line installed on Lennox HS26-060

Call up the company that installed it. They should be responsible for the work even though it has been 7 years. And if they don't want to replace lines then try to offer to buy the new copper if they throw in the labor. Sounds only right to me. If the person that owns the company wants to keep Lennox warranty. I think they offer 10 years on compressor. But do it as soon as you can I am sure the small copper line is wrong size also. Good luck let me know how it goes. ken

Sorry, I wished I could be more percise on my answer, but your statement on the problem is too vague. An AC volt meter is necessary to check the unit. First one needs to check the cord to assure there is 110-120 volts AC present. If so, comtinue to check if the fuse is bad. If the fuse is good, it would likely be a heat senative thermal fuse. I hope this somewhat helps.
