Your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop. Special tool's and knowledge are needed . Scan tools , electrical diagnostic , service information . Your vehicle has a bunch of computers (control modules) C.A.N. cantroller area network serial data communication networks . Hi speed , med. speed , low speed . The power steering is electronic ,computer controlled , sensors on the steering shaft .With those light's lit , DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored etc... Plus there is a real chance of being electrocuted. High voltage !

Why Amy I getting 6v and not 12v at my fuel pump. I have replaced the pump and relay


Is this 6 volts with the pump hooked up? Also the voltage is controlled to slow the pump down when engine is not under load, if is referred as a fuel pump speed controller, what does it do?? It reduces pump voltage to slow the pump speed of rotation and this saves on gas a tiny bit and extends the life of the pump. Most auto makers have been using this system for at least the last 15 years. You have failed to provide any vehicle make, model or year so that is about all I can tell you.

IS THE FUEL PUMP PRESSURE ON 2004 300M CONSTANT OR DOES CHANGE WITH ENGINE SPEED?


Check the voltage at the tank for the fuel pump as you are cranking. If you lose power, replace the ignition switch. Key on and start up for the pump, are two different wires on the switch.

IS THERE A BALLAST RESISTOR FOR THE BLOWER MOTOR. THE MOTOR IS FINE BUT IT WILL NOR WORK


Hi I will try and help you if i can.
Yes, there will be a resistor pack that controls the speed of the blower motor.
Usually on a 4 speed motor there will be three resistors.
When 4 speed is selected the motor gets full 12volts ( no resistors used )
When 3 speed is selected the motor gets its Voltage via 1 resistor ( reducing the speed )
When 2 speed is selected the motor gets its Voltage via 2 resistors ( reducing speed even more )
When 1 speed is selected the motor gets its Voltage via 3 resistors ( giving the lowest speed ).
Usually when the resistor pack burns out the motor will work but only on no.4 speed which does not use the resistors.
So i think your problem might be the control switch.

Our MillerMatic 175 wire feed cannot be adjusted down enough. The rheostat seems to function, but even the lowest setting is now way too fast.


Your Millermatic 175 has syncronize wire speed-voltage feature in order to reduce the wire speed first reduce your heat (voltage). Try again.

Blower speeds 1, 2 & 3 don't work on my 2002 grand am GT. Cruise control kicks our now and then for no given reason. Any thoughts?


Usually if you loose all the blower speeds except for high then the blower motor speed resistor is to blame. This device reduces the voltage that is supplied to the blower motor so you get the slower speed of 1,2, and 3 but is bypassed for the full voltage direct powered high speed which is why the high speed will continue to work.

MANY of the amplifiers have temperature sensors and REDUCE the fan speed at lower temperatures. This is usually done by reducing the voltage.

Be aware that sometimes the voltage is modulated by pulse width and reading it requires using an oscilloscope rather than a voltmeter.

Reducing the voltage is what you want to do -- this will effectively reduce the speed, without creating an annoying hum.

That said -- 110v is too low. Start higher. Half the voltage doesn't equal half the speed.
