Fan and grill works but oven does not heat up

Posted by on

  • Twedd Nov 12, 2007

New home with integral electric cooker & gas hob. Sadly the oven will now not heat up despite fan working & grill too.

I initially thought it may have been a result of the control panel buttons being fiddled with but this does not seem to be the case (this said I am without any intsrustions so cannot be 100% sure)

Can any one help with either a tip or a copy of the intsructions for the control panel please.

I have the same problem, my feelings are that the thermostat is broken.

Trying to find a replacement on the web.

Yep sounds like the element. You can get a replacement for about a tenner off ebay and it's an easy fit.

If the oven is electrically heated, then more than likely, the oven element has failed.

This is located behind a removeable cover at the rear of the oven.

Oven does not heat up.

You will probably find that it is the oven element that has failed.
This is to be found at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.
Hope this helps.

The fan still circulate on fan bake but no heat

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR HEATING ELEMENT HAS BURNT OUT ,FIRST TURN OFF THE POWER THEN LOCATE THE SCREWS HOLDING THE BACK PANEL ON REMOVE ALL THEM AND THE PANEL YOU THEN SHOULD SEE THE ELEMENTS REMOVE THEM BY PULLING OUT THE PULG HOLDING THE ELEMENT IN THEN TAKE IT TO A ELECTRICAL SUPPLY STORE FOR REPLACEMENT REFIT ELEMENT AND YOUR OVEN SHOULD WORK FINE.

No manual

The light bulb is the oven light.
The snowflake with 3 raindrops is Defrost Mode (fan runs with no heat to reduce defrost time)
The 2 lines up top & down bottom is Traditional Cooking (heat from top & bottom elements)
The big circle with a fan is the Fan forced Oven
The small line at top only is the Grill Mode
The larger line at top only is the Double Grill Mode
The line up top with the fan underneath is Double Grill with Fan mode
The line on the bottom with fan on top uses the lower element with the fan for delicate dishes

The manual can be found on the Baumatic website - www.baumatic.com.au - select your product which takes you into another page & you will see on the left hand side a link to "View User Manual"
