Is a Platypus a monotryne or mammal

A platypus is both a monotreme and a mammal. All monotremes belong to the class Mammalia, but instead of giving birth to live young like most mammals, monotremes lay eggs. The platypus and echidna are the only known monotremes alive today.

What is the importance of the platypus in nature?

The platypus is an interesting adaptation to a specific ecological niche. It's held on to a number of more ancient features which serve it well in it's foraging for food (the duck bill for example). It doesn't serve a "purpose" like a tool or object, it exists because it can exist given available food, few predators and an area to live in with suitable access to water, nesting sites, etc.

Crack jn seat can it be repaired or replaced

Hi, Platypus kayaks have plastic molded seats, which means that anyone who does plastic stick welding can repair it. You might also want to check with Platypus to see what a new seat costs as compared to the cost of the repair. Good Luck!
