Memory Upgrade for Sony VAIO VPCM121AX Netbook Laptop, the Sony VAIO VPCM121AX Netbook Laptop takes the PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM 200pin memory Memory Type, and comes installed with 1GB (Removable) of Memory.
You can upgrade your Sony VAIO VPCM121AX Netbook Laptop to up to a maximum of 2GB Memory, the system has 1 Socket to install Memory, already with 1GB (Removable) standard Memory installed.
For best Laptop performance use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot for your Laptop.
if you're not sure if a module is right for your system, use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules. first you will need to select the manufacturer from a drop down list then select your product line
from a drop down list then select the model then click find it will take you directly to compatible ram also you will have an option to scan your system
Power off the computer, and unplug it from the power source. Close the computer and turn it over.
Slide off the battery cover and remove the battery.
Locate the memory bay and remove the screws in the cover.
Remove your old RAM board(s) by pushing the metal clips and holding it down and outwards until the RAM board pops up. Then pull it out at a 30-degree angle. (If you only need to add more RAM to your existing RAM and you have enough available empty RAM slots, you will not need to remove the RAM.)
Insert the new RAM board into an empty slot at a 30-degree angle until you hear it click. Then push it flat down into the slot.
Replace the cover and screw it back in.
Upgrade the Sony VAIO Hard Drive
Locate the hard drive bay and remove the screws from the cover. Then slide the cover off.
Pull the hard drive out of the bay.
Remove the screw securing the hard drive with the magnetic screwdriver.
Pull the hard drive out of the bay by the black tab connected to it.
Re-insert your new hard drive into the bay and replace the cover.
