Question about Husqvarna LGT24K54 54" 24HP Kawasaki Lawn Tractor 2011 Model
My husqvarna tractor mower keeps turning off after 30 minutes Minutes of mowing, it will turn back on right away and Turn off again after 2-3 minutes of mowing. I have checked and replaced air filter, plug, gas filter Engine oil, new gas and taking it to a certified husqvarna Dealer where I bought it where all they want to do is sell me new Blades! Have you any Idea what may be causing this problem
Interesting! Try seeing if it will run without the fuel tank cap on. There is normally a small hole to let air in as fuel is used, if this gets blocked the fuel will stop running from the tank. You probably won't be able to clean it well enough so a replacement cap shouldn't be too expensive.

There is gas smell in the carburetor because the engine is not starting and carburetor is flooding.
As first thing ensure that there is spark, pull the spark plug wire and put the end near to engine block while cranking. You will see the spark. If there is no spark, check distribution coil and wires.
If there is spark, check if there is fuel pressure, if there is smell from carb, then the fuel pressure should be Ok.
Once you are sure that the pump is doing its job, and that there is pressure, check the carburetor settings. The mixture is probably too rich or too lean, and for that reason it is not igniting.
If it is not a matter of carburetor settings, then the carb must be taken apart to check carburetor filter.

Hi, change the engine oil. It has become contaminated with fuel. Also fit an inline fuel tap and turn it off whenever the mower is not in use. Basically the carby has leaked fuel into the engine oil, the engine then draws the fuel vapour from the oil through the crankcase vent into the carby creating the problem you have. Regards Phil.
