Most of the ones I have seen with a removeable drip tray you take the kickplate off from the bottom and you slide out the tray to dump it. I may have your service manual at appliancejungoogledrive.

How remove feeder tray from 6600

Hi Ed Walsh,

When you say feeder tray, are you speaking of the document feeder tray, or the paper input tray? The document feeder tray is not customer replaceable so it will not be removable. The input paper tray is however removable. Perhaps you will find the support page for your Officejet 6600 helpful:

Away requires removing the rear finisher cover remove the elevation motor assy. BE CAREFUL if removed the TRAYS will FREE FALL. have to know how to handle that!!!!.Ensure trays move easy and does motor turn might have a bad motor.

I have a Konica 7022 copier how do i remove the paper trays

If you aren't talking of the large capacity trays, then you must pull out the tray as far as it goes. On the right side of the tray, there is either a metal tab that holds the tray in and is held in by one silver screw that you must remove. Or you must remove the two screws on the right-hand metal tray guide.

Milk which was spilled in the fridge has dripped into the drip tray behind the fridge and has created the most awful smell. Can the tray be removed for cleaning and if so how?

Yes, usually the tray can be removed for cleaning. You will have to pull the fridge out, unplug power, remove the rear access cover. Then you should see the evaporator / condensate tray and how to remove it.

HP 4050N: Tray 3 "forgets" paper size. The detents were enhanced to assure contact with limited results. Now we want to remove tray 3 for access to to the detents for service and can't get the tray to...

Mostly the problem is caused by a defective papersize detection board. There are 2 solusions.
Replace the defective borad or leave tray 3 empty.
If you have a laserjet 4050 TN you can not remove tray 3 from the machine.

Hp laserjet 8150. i have a problem, tray 3 empty, always but have paper in tray 3

CAUSE: This error message indicates the paper present sensor flag in one of the trays does not detect paper in the tray. This could be caused by one of the following:
  • A broken sensor flag
  • The tray paper guides being set too close and restricting the paper from being pulled
  • The tray is not lifting
SOLUTION: Follow the steps below to determine the cause of a false TRAY X EMPTY message. Tray 2 empty
  1. Verify there is paper in the tray.
  2. Open the duplex unit access door just above Tray 2 on the front of the printer.
  3. Check the black-paper present flag by looking in through the duplex access door.
  4. Open and close Tray 2 and observe the tray lifting looking through the duplex unit access door.
The tray lifts but the error is still present
  1. Inspect the paper present flag on the PIU located just behind the pickup rollers. Ensure the flags are present and not damaged.
  2. Remove the tray guides from the tray and reseat them. Ensure the guides are seated correctly and are in the correct slot for the size paper in the tray. Add paper to the tray and try printing again.
  3. Try another known good tray, if available.
The tray does not lift and the error is still present
  1. Remove the tray, remove the paper in the tray, and inspect the lifting plate in the tray for damage. Ensure it will lift freely by hand.
  2. Try another known good tray if available.
Tray 3 empty
  1. Verify there is paper in the tray.
  2. Remove Tray 2.
  3. Open and close Tray 3 and verify it lifts by observing through the Tray 2 cavity.
  3. Try another known good tray if available.
The tray does not lift and the error is still present
  1. Remove the tray, remove the paper in the tray, and inspect the lifting plate in the tray for damage. Ensure it will lift freely by hand.
  2. Try another known good tray if available.
Tray 4 empty
  1. Verify there is paper in the tray
  2. Open Tray 4 and check for an extra **** of paper stored on the left side of the tray. This can cause the tray to stall while lifting and result in a tray empty message.
  3. Defeat the interlock in the vertical transfer unit (VTU). Open and close Tray 4 and watch the tray lift through the VTU door on the lower-right side of the printer.
NOTE: Follow troubleshooting steps for Trays 2 and 3 when working with the 2 X 500 sheet-input tray.
The tray lifts but the error is still present
  1. Check the tray guides to ensure the guides are seated corrected and are in the correct slots for the paper size in the tray.
  2. Inspect the paper present sensor for damage.
  3. Check for any broken plastic pieces in the tray that may be a broken sensor flag.
The tray does not lift and the error is still present Defeat the VTU interlock on the right side of Tray 4. Open and close Tray 4 and observe the tray lifting.

I can't print from tray 2 or 3 from either Mac or PC

Hi,

You need to remove the trys affected, most likely there is a sensor issue.

Remove the trays and check behind them as paper sometimes falls behind blocking the sensors. If so, remove the paper.

Also, check the paper slides in the tray themselves, remove the paper and slide them in and out all the way, put the trays back in the machine and put the paper back in the tray moving the slides right up against the paper and close the door. It should work normally from now on, if not try a reboot one more time.

Paper tray is jammed, it won't come out.

With the paper tray pushed all the way in, try unplugging the machine ... try to remove the tray. If that doesn't work, then plug it back in ... try to remove the tray.

If neither of these allows you to remove the tray, you may have a broken part.
