You have your information incorrect, Q is not the designation for diodes, Q657 would be a transistor. First give us the correct number for the diode and how do you know it is shorted?

An oversized and deformed image is probably due to bad Electrolytic Capacitors. An ESR Meter or Capacitor Tester can tell you which ones are bad and in need of replacement, otherwise replacing any capacitors that are bulging or domed at the top will probably solve the problem. Another indicator that a capacitor may be bad is if the plastic wrap is visibly shrunken. this means it has been heated beyond it's temp rating and has probably dried up.
