What does the purple button light flashing on 1/2 horsepower craftsman garage door opener

I think the adjustment mode is on.

For example, that's from Craftsman manual:

Setting the Force
The force setting button is located on the left panel of the motor unit. The force setting measures the amount of force required to open and close the door.
1. Locate the purple button on the left panel of the motor unit (Figure 1).
2. Push the purple button twice to enter the opener into Force Adjustment Mode (Figure 2). The LED (Indicator Light) will flash quickly.
3. Push the remote control or control console (Figure 3). The door will travel to the DOWN (close) position.

Actually, you should just read carefully your garage door opener unit's manual.

My psp down arrow button not working... how can i fix it?

The only way is to take it appart and realign the pieces. There isn't a whole lot to them but they have a bezel that is rubbery that pops in and out when the button above it is pushed. This contacts the board under it and sends the signal for the button you pushed. It seems as if the rubbery bezel part under the button is not popping back out so it won't allow you to register a button push. It's not too hard, just take your time, don't force anything, and be patient as these things fit together very tightly and can be broken if forced.

As I ran my disposal, black, dirty water came out. If I put the disposal on again, the same thing occurs- a build-up of this water in the sink. I pushed the re-start button several times, but to no...

what you have is a clog in the drain, what your seeing is sludge thats built up in your drain pipe being forced back up into the sink,, you need to get that line snaked out so it flows out rather than back up

Door opens OK using the remote or wall push button switch Door will not close on either remote or wall push button switch Door will close if we hold wall push button until door closes How do we...

Use the pull cord and disconnect the opener from the door.

Operate the opener and let the carrier slide back away from the door.

Is the carrier moving smoothly when disconnected?

Next, lift the door by hand from the bottom to the top. Is it moving smoothly?

If not, lubricate the axles of all the rollers on both sides of the door.

Check the cable pulleys at the top sides of the door channel, lubricate them as

well. Are all cables in all the pulleys, there are 4.

After checking those things, there is a "up force" and "down force"

adjustment on the opener, try increasing the "up force" by turning the

adjustment in the direction of MORE force.

Give me some thumbs up if this helps you.

Cannot get the drain to drain in the freezer. tried boiling water but it isn't draining

Based on the description it looks you've got some non-liquid stuff got into the drain and you will need something more forceful than the boiling water. What you will have to do is to take the drain out and push the clog out.
Here is the description of compatible fridge:

Dishwasher will not drain I have taken out the basket and cleaned it I have used a garden hose to force water through the SUMP INLET but it still won't drain by itself.

If it does not drain itself when you push Reset, then the drain pump is most likely bad. The whole unit will have to be pulled out to check or replace it.

We have a Bosch Exxcel Washer Dryer and it seems that at the end of any programme, the washer does not drain and spin (but does drain and spin in independent programmes) - it just continues at 0.01 mins...

would try cleaning your pump and sump as when its draining without the force of the spin the pump is idle but with the force when you put on other programs ie the spin this will push the water through the pump hope this helps

U2 fault code?

The last two faults are logged into EE memory.
The other U (user) faults have been removed. The old U2 fault, which was the tub forced open during a cycle, has
been removed completely. Instead if the tub is forced open the product simply pauses as if someone had pressed
the start/pause button. The old U3 fault, which indicated a failure to drain i.e. water left in the tub, will not show up a
fault and the DishDrawer will continue through the cycle
