WIthout looking at your vehicle its hard to say. If it works fine in the otyhe rcar i still suspect a ground problem.. People forget that most cars have a very small body ground wire from the body to the negative battery terminal.. check both pattery terminals for cleanliness and tightness.. then for grins run yourself a nice fat ground wire from ther body to the negative terminal.. i suspect this due to your car changing idle speed... almost guarantees a poor connection someplace... these are just ideas and again without looking at the car i couldnt tell you for sure.. what kind of car is it instsalled in now?

Why does my spa 500 amp blow a fuse every time I hook up my 15" lanzar sub to it

Because it's drawing more power than the fuse can handle get a fuse with a higher rating. A 100 app fuse worked great for main power with my setup 760w amp a 15"sub 2 10"subs and a 12" sub. Also my amp had 2 30amp fuses on it one for each channel but I ran everything out of one channel.

I have a jl 500/1 amp hooked up in my car and the power light comes on for about 5 seconds then turns off. no sound out of the subs. it is hooked up to a factory deck through a high to low level converter....

hook up the remote wire ( or make sure its hooked up good) check your ground! ground wire not big enough awg wire and put on bare metal not more than 1 foot away from amp. bad ground will cause this.

Why my amp shuts off when the volume is turn up and comes back on when lower the volume? I have 2 15 Q Power subs and Lanzar MXA3000D Amp

I used to own a Lanzar amp. I dont know if ours will be the same, but mine had a special safety feature. If i turned it up too loud it would go into it's safety mode and shut itsself down to protect the subs. You can bypass this security setting, but it is not recommended, as it protects your subs from a great deal of power.

My jl 500/1 it comes on but it dont push my subs it dont hit at all the power light comes on

number one did you install the subs could be you have a double coil not installed right for full potential connect red to red and black to black on the back of youre spkr but if its a regular coil dont worrie about it ,,and also set amp to low pass and also bridge it so it would reach full potential .

JL Audio 500/1 Amplifier "Thermal" light flashing

Re-check all the connections to the speakers, The uPC monitors all the outputs and if any are taking more power than they should, the uPC shuts the amp down to protect the internal components. Don`t use tape joints alone, try to run the cable the full length without any joints. If you do have to piece the wires together, solder them and stagger the connections, in other words, make one lead shorter than the other so that if the tape does come off, the offending connection is well away from the other so they can never meet or connect to each other. Orion xtr15 to a american leagacy la 660 amp

your only choice is to run the amplifier at a 4 ohm mono load - this will not reult in the amplifier making much power.
Positive on sub to Positive on amp.
Negative on sub to Negative on amp.
This is your only possibility.

Adding a second sub in the same fashion will result in a 2 ohm load, and your amplifier will run at its rated potential.

Jl audio 500/1 amp low ohm light at high volume

I would try running the subs in parallel. Pos to Pos Dual Voice, Neg to Neg Dual Voice. Then Run + to + stereo - to - stereo on both channels.
So you have + and - running to one channel and + and - running to the other channel.
Also your LPF filter could be set too high.

Amp powers up, then shuts down 15 seconds later...

Which lights are lit on top of the amp when you power it up?

Which ones light up during the 15 seconds that it's on?

Are you running a signal sensing system or are you turning the amp on via the remote lead?

Is the signal sensing switch set to on or off?

2006 12" Kicker L7 4 ohm

first whats the range in terms of WATTS that your 12" sub can handle in 4 OHMS ? second , lets check the AMP , POWER ACOUSTIK 1800 WATTS , Now thats a lot of power to drive a single 12" sub speaker . your amp is 1800 watts , per channel is around 500 watts , if BRIDGE thats around 1600 watts rms for ONE channel , if your sub can handle that kind of wattage fine , but it will not blow the amp , what it does is shuts down , some kind of protection mode , it will come back on after a minute or so. I suggest to use one channel in stereo mode , or purchase another sub to use the other channel. i hope this helps AJ
