It will not suck up dirty water. I checked the path from the bottom opening and found nothing blocking it. What could be wrong and how do I fix it?

This happens when the filter on the inside of the lid for the dirty water tank is pushed all of the way up. You need to leave a 1/4 in. gap from the top to the top of the filter, or the lid for the dirty water tank is not locked down on th e tank.

My Hoover Steamvac won't suck. I checked the front door thing on the dirty water tank and found a crack where the bottom of the door meets the tank. Would this stop it from working?

From your description, this would certainly need to be corrected, and yes may be the problem. Also, check the recovery tank lid to make sure that is on and latched properly. Ensure the round tube that is under the recovery tank has the gasket seal installed.

The Hoover Steamvac Widepath will NOT pick up water. The dispenser with cleaner DOES have water. The TANK that would receive the dirty water is NOT full. All tanks are on properly and the machine will...

Sounds like a clogged air path (no vacuum action) from the floor pick-up to the collection tank. Take the tanks off and deal with the vacuum problem alone. The collection tank should have a air exit vent--is it clear? Check the interior hose that you repaired--is it clogged? Remove the bottom plate and inspect the air path from it. Because this machine deals with water, clogs can become like concrete! Hope this helps!

Hoover steam vac not sucking water back up i have super wet floors and no water in recovery tank

I think it is the gasket on top and bottom of the plastic chanel that takes the water up to the dirty water holding tank , Part of the rubber gasket is missing on both the top and bottom. This will alow
air to come in and thus you loose the suction to empty the water into the dirty water bin. My unit is hoover steam vac model F60220-900. I need to know where to get the gaskets.

My cleaner is not dispensing the shampoo solution. Still sucks up the dirty water that I manually applied with a scrub brush. I use this on my tiled screen porch floor and it has worked great many times.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover SteamVac Carpet / Upholstery Deep Carpet Cleaner.

There is a release value in the bottom the holding tank that may be bad and not opening or the trigger assm in the handle may be broken and not connecting to release the water to scrub and clean the carpets. Hoover widepath steamvac

One cause is the filter in the dirty water tank lid is pushed up too high, it needs to have a gap of 1/4 in or so. So check it, if it is up all the way, pull it down some.

Blowing warm air

Is there a part missing on the front of the dirty water tank? On some of these machines, there is block that you take out so you can insert the hose in its place. So if this spot is open, then it can't suck and will be blowing warm air.

SteamVac Supreme Vacuum Problem:

Does this have the slot in front of the dirty water tank for the hose? If it does and the hose isn't installed, there is a block that you put in when the hose isn't being used. If not there, then it will blow air and won't suck up.

Steam vac will not pick up dirty water

My Hoover Steamvac problem isn't with the bruches--it's with the suction. Dirty soapy water stays in the carpet instead of being returned to one of the holding tanks.
