SOURCE: Mitsubishi tv keeps turning off.

Hello there please check the following in your tv;

Reset the component settings. Most problems with Mitsubishi projection televisions can be resolved by resetting the television to factory settings

If this does not work then a full system reset should be performed on the control panel by pressing the System Reset button. The television will turn off and the green LED light will flash quickly for a minute. When the light stops flashing, the TV will turn on.

If that still doesn't work, then the projection lamp might need replacing and here is how to do that;

Ensure that the bulb is completely cooled and the television is unplugged. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the lamp compartment cover. Unscrew the lamp cartridge on the rear of the television. As opposed to the cover door, these screws do not actually come out of their chamber and simply loosen the lamp assembly. Remove the old cartridge and insert the new one. Secure the lamp with screws, then replace the cover and screw in tightly.

Please note that, Finger oils can cause the lamp to malfunction.

Projection lamps are powered by mercury. Wash hands thoroughly after replacing the projection bulb.

SOURCE: We have a mitsubishi 735 series tv. When we power it on the mitsubishi sign comes on then the tv shuts off. We replaced the lamp bulb but that wasn't the problem. Any suggestions

Most of these sets that come on with the blue screen and logo and shut off shortly after may have two resets---I can tell you the soft reset.

Turn set on with the Mitsubishi remote and when screen comes up blue with logo:

Menu, 1,2,3 enter

This applies to most of these sets.

I have a Mitsubishi 60inch 60737 replaced the bulb last month.now it keeps cutting off,cleaned the filter before.someone said to reset bulb timer,how do I reset it.

The Lamp timer will not cause it to shut down. The timer should have been reset when you first turned the TV on after replacing the bulb. Make sure your bulb is an Osram brand bulb. If not, then you do not want to use it as it may not be very good.

55" panasonic tv keeps shutting itself off...just replaced lamp

how long does it stay on before it shuts off? Is there any blinking lights on the front when it does this? It's more than likely sensing that the bulb is getting too hot and shuts down to cool it, it's built into the set to prolong bulb life and keep your TV from melting down and starting on fire. My Mitsubishi will do that every few months, no real reason sometimes it's on for a week straight and no problem, then it may be on for half hour and reset. I would say remove the bulb and clean out the area where the bulb is to make sure it's not having trouble sensing the temperature. Also look to see if there is anything that may look like a sensor that may be hanging down closer to the bulb than it should, you could have bumped it and it could be moved from the proper location while you changed the bulb. I hope this helps

Try cleaning the little fans that keep the bulb cool, the temp sensor will shut it off so not to damage the bulb , the winning sound may be the fan going bad or not working like it should.
