Take your camera to walmart, target, best buy, futureshop etc and they will tell you what type and capacity will suit your purpose.

TRANSFERRING PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device, you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.

My memory card has been virus affected. The photograph I took are shown on camera display but when I connect the camera with my PC it does not show any DCIM folder inside camera memory card. Can anyone...

You need to try downloading the pics using a separate card reader. If this is successful and your pics end up safe on your computer, then you need to format the card in the camera to completely erase it and optimize it. typrice_14.jpg

Can Someone Please Help I've Tried So MAny Memory Cards And none Of Em Seem To Work. The Camera Always Says "This Card Cannot Be Used". CAn Anyone Tell Me Wat Kind Of Memory Card To Use?

i got the same message after formatting the card. "this card cant be used"
i reformatted the card again but instead of selecting FAT 32 I selected FAT.
Placing the card in the camera it worked as normal.
Seems to be a simple and easy solution. hope its useful.

So format your card with your computer, you may need a card reader if you don't have one already, go to the SD drove and format it using FAT. place it back into the camera and see if that helps

Setting to store images on memory card

There shouldn't be a setting for this. Cameras have an automatic switch that when a memory card is detected it automatical puts it there and once it's full it uses the onboard memory.

If it is going straight to memory when you put the card in then your camera is not recognizing the card when you insert it. This is caused by the camera's inability to handle a high capacity card. Meaning if you put like a 2 to 4 gb card it has to much memory for the camera to use.

Try using a smaller memory and if this fails then your internal card reader is bad and needs to be fixed.

Unable to use card

The memory card needs to be formatted by the camera. The card can be formatted in section 1 of the playback menu. Formatting will erase all data from the card.
