Question about Refrigerators
Where is the drain tube for freezer located? How do you access it?
The drain tube in any refrigerator is located right below the tray inside the evaporation compartment. A tray below the coils is made so that it funnels out the water. A hole is in the lowest portion of the tray. Junk gets into the tray and blocks the water from draining and so it backs up and flows down to bottom of the frig.
To fix the problem ya gotta remove the service panel and unblock the drain. If ice is blocking the hole you can sometimes run a copper wire down in the hole attached to the defrost heater which is a neat trick. If you would love a service manual I have numerous oneswhich are easy to access at: appliancejunkgoogledrive.

SOURCE: clogged fridge drain tube
The drain is behind the back panel in the freezer at the bottom. Sounds like it is frozen over which is pretty common. Will need to remove panel and thaw out drain by running hot water down. You can use a putty knife to break up ice first. Make sure you get all ice around the drain above and below the thin aluminum tray at the bottom. After the drain is free don't be alarmed if you get some water on the floor because the drain pan may not hold all of the water you ran down the drain. Not anything you can do to prevent this on this model.

SOURCE: water in bottom of fridge
In the back of the fridge way down low on the very bottom you will see the tube. If you think it is clogged. Take a spray bottle filled with very hot water and just a cap full of bleach. Spray it on the drain hole and this will rsolve your blockage issue

I have the same problem, warranty just ran out but its been
leaking on and off for ages, must be this model. This much Ive figured out, what
happens is the drain hole gets blocked from ice freezing over the hole at the
back of freezer, the drain water has to go somewhere, since it cant leak out of
the drain hole where it suppose to it ends up pooling under the vege
compartment before ending up on the kitchen floor. Now if this is your only
problem, someone suggested to me to run a piece of copper wire from the
defrost heater to the drain hole so no ice can build up there, hence no more
leakage. To do this you'll have to take the back panel off and see for
yourself,I did this and Im a novice.Make sure you turn off and unplug the
fridge first and wait for it to defrost.
Now I think I have other things wrong with mine, after leakage problem the refrigeration compartment wont cool anymore but the freezer part remains working as usual.Ive nailed this down to one of the following not working... Thermostat / timer / defrost heater. So one or more of these needs replacing.Im just trying to look for a manual which shows the nuts and bolts or the refrigerator (not the "How to use" type manual which I have).

Testimonial: "Good advice. Wife called repairman before I could apply. Repairman did same thing, but with pressureized."
Yes you can get to it from the inside. There should be screws in the back towards the bottom of the freezer that wiil let you remove the bottom of the freezer compartment. Under tere you will see the drain hole and the freezer coils, alond with the defrost coil.
Then checkout this tip to help you make it so the hole won't freeze shut again...
