What to do with red blinking ON/OFF button on philips mci500h 12

Internal Power supply and could be a shorted diode or a relay could be causing the flashing red light. Usually the red light indicates the System is in stand-by mode or not in stand-by. If when you used to turn it off there was a red light though not flashing, then that means it is in stand-by so in that mode your remote works on some older sets work and others it doesn't matter because the remote will always work. Unplug it for a half hour and try it and see if the light stops flashing. Might help to give more clues towards the fix.

Red Light Flashes twice KDF-E50A10

Are you putting the lamp cover back in place before trying to turn the set on? The 2 blink error is a temperature error you might want to check the thermal sensor, is your lamp door warped?

Lost owners manual

Hello,

I do not believe this is available on-line, but have some info that might help you use the remote.

To Search For A Code:
  1. Manually turn on device to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the red indicator light stays on, then release it.
  3. Press and quickly release the desired ode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator light should blink once.
  4. Press the "Channel Up" button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator light should blink off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot the required code, press the "Channel Down" button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing "Channel Up" changes direction again.
  5. Press and release "Mute" button to install the code.
To Identify The Code That Was Found:
  1. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the red indicator stays on. Release the "Code Search" button.
  2. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator light blinks and then stays on.
  3. Press and release the "Code Search" button. The red indicator light goes off.
  4. To find the first digit for the code stored under the mode key pressed in "Step 2" press each numeric key from 1-9 in turn. When the red indicator light blinks off, the number you pressed is the first digit for the code you are searching for.
  5. To find the second digit, repeat "Step 4," this time when the red indicator light blinks off, this is the second digit in your number.
  6. Repeat again for the third digit in your code number.
I hope this helps out,

Chris

PS3

it sounds like your power supply is faulty or you need to make sure all wires are in properly if that don't work leave it in stand buy mode for 12 hours do not touch it at all or you will have to do it all over again it needs the back up battery to gain more power let me know how you get on
