I have a Mitsubishi 65" DLP that when hooked up via HDMI in any input all I get is a blue screen without sound. When I take the cable and run it directly into back of TV I get picture and sound? Any thoughts?
Blue screen means no video signal, if the source is on hdmi ensure the cable is rca or in simple audio video jacks which u will have to connect in the dvi input of the tv reason is hdmi means high definition interface and transmits by hdcp like the data of an internet meaning its digital platform which the tv can only process thru the dvi inputs or component y,p,b

Can you call up the settings menu? Check to see if the ANT-1, DVD, and other ports are properly activated. You may need to re-scan for channels and to activate the HDMI ports for your other devices. Regards.
That TV is suppose to have automatic input detection but if it doesn't work you can press the input button on the remote and then use the arrows and enter to select the input you are trying to use.
If you replace the lamp you need and got sound no picture is your color wheel. Make sure the cover wherew the lamp goes is close completly other wise it would not work.
First thing to check is that you actually have a source signal FROM the HDMI output. Second thing to check is the cable. The audio is embedded into the signal path, so if you don't receive picture, then you shouldn't receive audio.
Check the above on a neighbours set etc, before then having to check TV settings. Finally, do a factory restore on the TV set, via the menu driven software.
Inspect for damaged pin on INPUT 1 socket. (left most of the three HDMI connectors)
A quick pull on the cable can damage the pins.

If you see mis-aligned pins then please power off the set before making corrective action.

If you are referring to an HDMI input. you can buy a HDMI switch and be able to select many different sources. start by searching for an HDMI switch on Google
You can use an HDMI-to-DVI cable for the TV's DVI input and this would give you video at full HD 1080p resolution but you need to route the audio via standard red & white RCA. It would be better if it has digital audio inputs such as optical or coaxial to get Dolby Digital and other digital formats from your source.
If in the unlikely scenario that it does not have a DVI input (which looks similar to your PC's blue VGA only wider and is white) you can hook it up to your component video-in (which is the red/blue/green RCA inputs). For this you need a cable that has HDMI on one end and red/blue/green for video RCA's +red/white RCA's audio.
This would give you 1080i resolution with stereo audio.
Yes, there is an adapter which will take the hdmi output of the blue-ray and convert it to dvi. You will also need to connect the blue-ray audio out (rca jacks) since the hdmi is both audio and video (digital) and the dvi is video only.
On your TV set remote are you selecting the proper input; for example when you have different devices connected to the back of your tv set, dvd player, vcr, cable box etc; you have to tell the tv which device you want to use by selecting the right one on your tv remove input selection. Hope this was any help.
For this unit and the addition of the secuity features of Blu-Ray, the 1080i you set can handle is through the component input from a DVD player or an XBOX. In the configuration menu of the PS3, change the resolution to 1080i and see if your set will reset to it. The 1080i on the Blu-Ray is only possible on the HDMI cable as far as I could find, again due to the security restriction. The Mitsu is not going to run it in 720p due to the PS3 is running component and cannot control sync to this set.
