Question about Samsung RFG298HDWP French Door Refrigerators
We had good pressure when we first got the refrig.,but we didn't use it because we had hard water. We had a water softner & RO system installed recently. It dispenses about 4 oz in 10sec.Do you think there's calcium in the refrigerator water lines?I installed a new filter a week ago.No change.I tried it without the filter and no change.Question 2-Do I have to use a filter now that I have the new system?

SOURCE: water dispenser
Can you pull you refrigerator away from the wall and carefully remove the cover over the area where the water feeds the refrigerator. There should be a set of plugs one for dispenser and other for the ice maker. Make sure both sides are plugged into the dual water control valve. I did try to pull your model number up so I could help you better, but the model number above your post goes to an oven. Maytag and Samsung sometimes places parts in places that are hard to point out. Tis could also be a dispenser lockout. If you find the problem this would be something that commonly happens an assembly line. If you find the correct model number I will send you a service manual. Either way I am here to help, Thanks,Sea Breeze

The most common reason water stops are 1. The water line has frozen, but its not the part in the freezer door. Behind the crisper bins in the fresh food section, you might not see it but it behind the back wall. Heat up that area with a hair dryer, or if its not full shut it off for 24 hours and it will do the trick. 2. The pump that sends the water to the dispencer is dead, it will be located behind the ref lower left hand side behind panel (follow the water line) part # DA74-40149D, you can order it at marcone.com for about 27.00
Good luck, if those dont work let me know
