Question about Health & Beauty

Open Question

Shoprider scooter 889XLS. TURNS ON, REVERSES OUT OF GARAGE. DRIVES ABOUT 3/4 MILE AND STOPS. TRIGGER THROTTLE, RESULTS IN A SUBTLE CLICK OR SHUNT UNDER THE SEAT, FOLLOWED BY NO MOTION AND ENDLESS BEEPS. AT RANDOM, SOME TIME LATER, IT WILL WORK AGAIN. ALL LIGHTS, SIGNALS AND GAUGES ARE NORMAL. IF I TRY TO GET IT GOING BY RECYCLING THE ON-OFF IT WILL AGAIN CLICK WITH A SUBTLE NUDGE AND BEEP. PRESS THE DRIVE TRIGGER AGAIN AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS. IN MULTIPLE EXPERIENCES HAVE RECYCLED THE FREE WHEEL. THE FIRST TIME THE SYSTME RETURNED BUT NEVER AGAIN.

SOURCE: battery power on mobility scooter

The Hand Control has probably bent in from use. ( Where she Pushes the throttle Control )
Grab a hold of it and bend it out towards you slightly
The part about the indicator going down when she moves and back up when she stops is normal

I have a shoprider echo when I turn it on the power meter works. The horn works. But there is a beep every 3 seconds. Please help

Your Throttle maybe out of neutral when you start the scooter.
Make sure your parking brake lever is on so the scooter is hard to move. If it is easy then it is not on and won't drive. Make sure there are not any cables that are disconnected to the motor and brake. Scooter Doctor App

Cant get the printed circuit board repaired or replaced for Madrid scooter

The Madrid scooter is a Shoprider scooter. The controller can be repaired by calling 800-798-0325 (Monster Scooter Parts). If you open the controller there are 2 fuses inside which are replaceable and may be the cause of the problem. I have attached a link to the service manual available for download. Refer to Page 14-15 for specific controller info.

Constant beeping, won't run

The beeping on shopriders usually means that the Main Control Box is faulty. It may also be caused by the Throttle Pot being out of neutral. This is a common promlem on this model of scooter as they use a Plastic throttle control lever instead of a metal one. Unfortunately, the plastic one's sometimes slip round slightly causing the above problem. Throttle pots can be very difficult to set to neutral without a multimeter so may be best left to you local dealer.
