I have a samsung sch-u540 cell phone. it is very new. the battery life is about 10 hours max standby which is obviously much shorter then its supposed to be.. i cant seem to figure out why the battery life is so short, i have bought a new battery already and that did not help
i tried that but it didnt work...i cant imagine what the issue could be. i was on vacation a few weeks ago and where i was the battery lasted for days, leading me to believe it has something to do with the signal im getting thats running down my battery. ive never had any trouble with a battery like this at home though, so im very confused. thanks for the suggestion tho, if anyone has any more it would be greatly appreciated.i tried that but it didnt work...i cant imagine what the issue could be. i was on vacation a few weeks ago and where i was the battery lasted for days, leading me to believe it has something to do with the signal im getting thats running down my battery. ive never had any trouble with a battery like this at home though, so im very confused. thanks for the suggestion tho, if anyone has any more it would be greatly appreciated.

Try running the battery down completely (0% so it turns off itself), and charging whilst the phone is completely off (I'd suggest leaving it overnight). Repeat this once or twice, then see if your battery life has improved. Also ensure that you havent left anything on that could be eating your battery up i.e. bluetooth, and contact your supplier if the problem persists, as you should be covered.

Sounds like you have a defective battery. If you can use the phone normally with the charger plugged into it that is more than likely the problem. Step one is order a new battery. If that don't solve the problem take it into the store, but only if it's under warranty, otherwise shop for a new one.
I did not care for this answer yesterday when it was given to me. However, it has gotten to the point where you should speak to a Samsung representative. The phone # is 888-987-4357. He/she can probably help you on the phone but if you do have to go into a location, at least you will know
there is problem with ur charging socket. may be it is dirty thats why charger is not making proper connection with phone. take it to technician ask to clean charging socket if still problem stays then u will need to repair it from technician
Hi, was wondering if you did find a solution to this problem. I just purchased the same phone yesterday and am having the same problem as well as the battery life doesn't seem to be long.
It sounds like your charger is faulty, or your phones charger connection is faulty, try borrowing the same charger from a friend, if it does the same thing, your phones connection is faulty
Regards
