Question about AquaVac Tigershark Plus Robotic Automatic In Ground Pool Cleaner

Drive motor won't turn (but the pump works)

Unit was working fine except drive belts were slipping. I just replaced the drive belts. With new belts, much tighter fit. When I turned the unit on, it started to move fwd for a split second, immediately tried to reverse 9again for a split second), then stopped. Pump works fin. I can turn the treads fine by hand (motor not locked). I took it apart (I know, I shouldn't have). When I disconnected the drive motor and hit it with momentary 24V right at pump (from a separate power supply) motor turns. So - motor is OK, but not getting 24V signal to motor under normal operation. Does anyone have a schematic for the circuit board??

SOURCE: Aquavac Tiger shark won't operate

The power supply powers on even when it doesn't output any voltage, so it's kind of misleading. You should have the power supply checked or you can do it yourself if you have a multi-meter, by measuring the output and making sure there is 24V.

Hi, I have an AEG T35850 tumble dryer. The motor makes a buzzing sound as it slowly gets going when empty. If it has a really hard time getting started, most of the time failing to get going.

The most likely cause is a slipping drive belt from the motor to the drum. Check the tension on the belt, but if the belt is worn, replace it. If the belt has been slipping for a period of time , it will probably be worn out.
Motor making a buzzing sound, is the motor actually turning? If so it is probably the belt.
If motor not turning, try taking the drive belt off and if the motor now runs, you may have seized drum bearings = expensive, buy a new dryer !

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site Bill. If your washer doesn't drain or spin, you may read and learn what parts may cause this. First, you will want to check your water pump. You need to make sure it is working. Make sure you check the belt on the pump. Make sure it is not broken or loose. Also, make sure your pulley is not stuck in place. Sometimes, they will stick or barely turn at all. If this is the case, you will need to replace it. If the pump, pulley, and belt are working, make sure your motor is working. You should be able to hear it if it is. If it isn't, check your lid switch. The lid switch can cause the motor to not work. It may need adjusted. If not, go ahead and change it. A bad lid switch may cause the washer to not work at all. Now, if your pump is pumping and the washer still won't spin, you will want to check your belt and clutch. Once again, the belt may be broke or loose. Check to make sure your clutch is not worn also. This may be a case of a bad lid switch again as well. You could have a bad drive motor. This is what controls spinning, draining, and agitation. You could have a broken motor coupler. Over time, they will go bad and need replaced. It is possible that your transmission is slipping or damaged. And lastly, you could have a bad basket drive or spin bearing. This is what allows the inner tub to move. If this is the case, you will probably hear loud sounds or loud banging. Hope this helps.

No spin agitate or drain just motor noise

The noise coming from the motor means it is running but cannot drive the drive pulley and the pump pulley because the drive belt is either broken or has slipped off. The drive pulley and the pump are driven by a single belt. Replace the drive belt if broken or loose and has slipped off. Disconnect power then drain the water manually by placing the end of the drain hose into a bucket or a shallow basin. Position the bucket/basin as low as possible to extract as much water from the tub. Once drained, lay the machine on its back to access the belt under the machine. When replacing the belt, wrap it on the motor and the pump pulleys then on the drive pulley. Turn the drive pulley in such a way that the belt wraps around the motor pulley, pump pulley, and the drive pulley.

Treadmill is slipping. Already tried tightening belt ... I could hear belt slipping as motor is turning

This sounds like either the drive belt is loose or the walking belt is old. First, check the tension on the drive belt. If the drive belt is not slipping, then walking belt may need to be replaced. I say may because without working on the unit, I cannot say that IS the problem.

Power steering only works when I rev the motor do i need a new pump it drives fine except when i turn i have to rev the motor or i have no power steering

It may be a bad pump but it could also be a simple as being low on fluid or needing a new belt or belt tightning. Check your fluid first and make sue the belt is good and not streched out. If this all checks out then replace the pump.

Pump works. Spins when empty/no load in tub. clutch slips when loaded

If the drive belt is slipping during the agitate and both spin cycles for loaded conditions, I suspect that the drive belt is excessively worn. If it slipped only during a loaded spin cycle, I would have suspected that the sliding motor mount is gummed up and not moving to a belt tighten position during the start of a spin cycle. Since the unit drains with no problem for loaded and unloaded conditions, the pump belt should be OK. Replace the drive belt and clean the dust, gunk, detergent, etc, out of the sliding mount to make sure that it tightens properly when a loaded spin cycle starts. Note that on most models, the drive belt is designed to slip when spin cycles first engage, and they will continue to slip until after the drum has accelerated.

The rollers are not turning. It is not an electrical problem because water shoots from the top.

There are two motors usedi n an Aquabot. The pump motor is separate from the drive motor, and the drive motor acts to drive the wheel tubes by means of a belt drive system. If the drive motor is working ( lookiing at the unit under power, the drive motor shaft which an be seen on either side of the unit is turning) ,t
Then you have a dive belt problem, solved by replacing the drive belts. If you happen to be in or near Phoenix, Arizona, I can help you replace the belts. If not, the belts can be purchased fairly inexpensively and are not hard to replace. If the drive motor is shot, the only answer is to contact an authorized repair center. S. Belt is slipping

This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.
