The top speed of electric bikes is limited by law in the UK to 15.5mph on roads.
Offroad bikes don't have this restriction, but cannot be used on the public highway.

I don't have a tack on my bike but 80 is the top speed on my 04 Honda shadow 750 what can I do to change my rev limiter or increase my speed

Sorry, something is wrong here. Your Shadow should easily do 95 to 105 as top speed. Have a motorcycle shop check out what is wrong here. As far as increasing its top speed, you could change the sprocket to less teeth at the rear wheel (then increase the front sprocket appropriately), but then your acceleration will suffer.

What can i do to increase the speed of my bike?

One way I was able to increase my bikes speed was through buying some V-Twin Exhausts. They really gave my bike the boost I was looking for.

Screaming noise at high speeds

Sounds like wheel bearings. There just isn't a lot on that bike that increases with speed, it's either wheels or engine. If it's engine- it will make noise in neutral. If it's wheels, it will only make noise while actually moving.

How do I adjust the idle? I want to increase the rpm's slightly to get rid of some of the vibration.

If your bike is equipped with a carb, you can take the air cleaner cover off and look at the top of the carb. Just to the right is a screw. This is the Idle stop screw. Turn it slightly clockwise to increase your idle speed.

If you bike fuel injected, your idle speed is controlled electronically and a dealer will have to set it.

Good Luck

Low engine R.P.M.s at normal operating temp

If the bike is carburated, look just to the right of the large round top on the carb. You'll see a small screw here. This is the throttle stop screw. Turn the screw slightly clockwise to increase the idle speed.

If the bike is fuel injected, a service shop will have to increase the idle speed due to it being controlled by the onboard computer.

Good luck

How can I make my eletric bike go faster?

No, not in practical terms.

To even go slightly faster the motor needs to draw far more current. That will shorten the motor life and dramatically reduce both the battery life and the distance between recharging. The power cabling might also need uprating.

So, with an uprated motor, cabling and battery, yes, it's possible but you'll get much less range and longer battery recharging times. But it all adds a lot of weight (so you'll need to uprate the wheels tyres and brakes as well) and won't get you much more speed as more and more of the energy you put into the system is used just to carry the weight of the system around and to overcome aerodynamic drag. The latter is really important: drag is roughly proportional to the square of the speed. So the power you need to travel at 20mph needs to increase by 400% to double your speed, but in reality it would be significantly more as all the extra weight and the additional cross-sectional area presented to the airflow also take their slice of the pie.

The only thing you can do in slightly impractical terms is to carry as little as possible on your bike, lose body weight, fit a lighter frame along with the skinniest profile road wheels and tyres you can get away with (but you get more punctures) and adopt the lowest and most aerodynamic riding profile you can. It still won't gain you much though, but will give you a noticeable increase in acceleration and a very modest increase in top speed.

Hi, can anyone help with the gearbox issues i am having with my Honda crf 250r motocross bike? Im finding the close ratio gearing runs out of top end speed to soon and the bike lacks speed. Can i change the...

Your best bet is to go up one or two teeth on the front sprocket. This will increase the top end speed. Swapping gears is not likely to help and would be problematic.

More top end speed wanted for suzuki ltz400 year

Either put a 4 to 8 tooth smaller rear sprocket on the bike or put a 1 to 2 tooth larger front sprocket on it. That will increase the top end speed. If you want to add quick speed and honest power to the bike the thing to do is to get a mild race cam for the engine. With the cam you can easily envision performance equaling a 500 to 550 cc bike.
