Have heard that there was an issue with a batch of program boards on zanussi's, check some forums to see if your model gets mentioned and maybe you can get a free replacement?

Sounds like you need a new heater. test it with a meter to see if its open circuite. the programme will not move round if the heater is gone. heater cost around 20 GBP. to have an engineer do it will cost around 50 GBP.

Remove the entire drawer, place in hot soapy water with a bit of bleach. Use an old toothbrush, cotton buds or something similar (pipe cleaners/cable ties would do the trick, too) to clean out all the little grooves, channels and little pipes. Ideally, do this about every 6 weeks, if you can remember.

While you have the drawer out, you'll probably notice in the drawer a build-up of horrble black mouldy gunk (yes, a technical term). You need to clean this out, and maybe use your chosen proddy thing (cotton bud, etc) to clean out the holes and channels on the roof of the cavity.

Put the machine onto a rinse programme, hopefully this should solve the problem. Good luck :)

Is the spin cycle reaching full spin speed or is it not spinning as fast as it should? If it isn't reaching full speed it could be caused by an uneven load (as this will stop some machines from spinning properly). Towels and items which get very heavy when wet can cause this.

Hi I Have a IZ 161 W goes through all cycles until spin starts in slow spin but thats it and the time does'nt move basically it is not spinning to full speed . appreciate any advice regards Sarah

The speed of spinning in the washer depends on the weight of the linen in the machine. if the machine is not fully loaded it will create an inbalance and the motor control unit will sense this and hence spin at a low speed. Solution is to ensure that the machine is fully loaded with enough linen.

The machine will not reset after overloading it whenever it goes to revolve it trips the fuse

Hi, this is quite a bad problem, what is happening is when the motor tries to engage it's drawing too much current and blows the breaker. Most likely you have a bad motor?

In any event you will need a service manual to troubleshoot and repair. Above are your manuals sites. one free the other pay for.

Spinning cycle has become very noisy on fast spin

Hi
The most common cause of this is the main drum bearing seal has failed and water has washed all the grease out of the drum bearing and knackered it. You will hear a loud roaring noise on the fast spin when this has happened. As it's certainly not a 5-minute-job, it's not economic to have this fault repaired on an older machine if you are paying for the repairs yourself. Get a new machine.
It is fairly unusual for balance weights to come loose as they are usually held tight by locking nuts. I've seen it happen but not very often. Sometimes they break off the drum completely. Symptoms of this are loud knocking noises, the machine attempting to leave the building while on a fast spin and a heavy piece of metal/concrete on the floor under the machine!
