Want to install lexmark z640 printer to comp have no disc

go to the lexmark website and download the driver for some odd reason the disk doesnt seem to work properly with vista

Lexmark does not distribute replacement install disk for all models.

Contact Lexmark here, to see if the disk for your printer is available.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

you need to install driver for printer...

1. Go to the Lexmark Find Drivers/Product Selector page.
2. Enter Lexmark Z640 under "Search by Model", and click the Search button.
3. Select your OS from the dropdown (XP, Vista etc.).
4. Click Download Now.
5. If you're asked to Save or Run, choose to Run (it keeps you from having to go find the file and double-click it later).

Select your OS and download software.

The drivers are not designed for WinME.

The Lexmark driver for that model only supports Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, and Vista.

Unfortunately, none of these drivers will work on WinME.

i cant print it wont print anything.can you help
