Question about Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Router
If you can get to the Router Admin page by putting the "Gateway" IP address in your browser you will find the Guest Access password box right below the main encryption box in the Wifi Security menu.
To get the IP address for the gateway type in "ipconfig" at a command prompt on a windows pc. To get to the command prompt on a windows PC type "cmd" in the run box or in the search for a program box from the start menu. Click on the cmd whenever you find it.
If everything seems to be completely scrambled you can use the "reset" instructions described above. You will need to go completely through your "quick install" instructions if you do use the "reset" above. Make sure you if you are a phone customer rather than a cable customer that you have the userid signon and the password. If you don't have those you can't get back online.

For guest access:
You can allow guests to use your Internet connection without joining your personal network.
The network name and password for the guest network is located on the network information card found under the foot of your Router
A person using your guest network will be able to join without a password, but will be shown a login page when they attempt to surf the Web..
They will need to enter the guest password into this page to continue.
Hope this helps!

Testimonial: "Thank You but the info on the bottom is the SSID and password for the basic network. It does not give me any "Guest" Access."

Check on the back for a small hole you can stick a straightened paper clip into.
The "Reset" button is used in rare cases when the Router may function improperly. Resetting the Router will restore the Router's normal operation while maintaining the programmed settings. You can also restore the factory default settings by using the "Reset" button. Use the restore option in instances where you may have forgotten your custom password.
a. Resetting the Router Push and release the "Reset" button. The lights on the Router will momentarily flash. The reset is complete in 60 seconds.
b. Restoring the factory defaults Press and hold the "Reset" button for at least 10 seconds, then release it. The lights on the Router will momentarily flash. The restore is complete in 60 seconds.

Flashing green means its trying to contact the modem. So, there is some problem with modem-router connection or with the modem.
Disconnect the modem from the router and connect the modem alonely to the desktop and check.
If you are unable to go online, restart the modem/reset the modem.
After that, connect the modem to the router, then reset the router (In the back side, U can see a reset button. Hold the button upto 10-15 seconds, lights will go off and it will vary). then, power off the router and after 10 sec, make it on.
Then it will go to default settings. Now, try to go online.
If not, Call Belkin 1800 2BELKIN. Life time Free phone support 24*7.
