SOURCE: I have a split system SAP-K181AHA, SAP-K241AHA

Air conditioners wring moisture from the surrounding air that collects in a pan under the cooling coil in the inside unit.

Chances are that the condensate drain is plugged or the drain pan is plugged. Look for a hose that exits the inside unit and runs to a drain. You can follow it back to the drain pan of the A/C unit. If there is water sitting in the pan, then either the hose or pan or both are plugged.

Turn the unit off, get a small bucket and remove the drain tube. Catch the water in the bucket. Blow through the drain line until it's clear. If the thought of doing this is too repulsive, then use an air compressor or even a manual tire pump. Now check the drain pan in the unit for debris and remove as much as possible from the pan and the drain fitting.

Both the pan and drain line should be checked at the beginning of each cooling season.

Reinstall the drain tube and see how it works!

SOURCE: SANYO SPLIT TYPE AIR CONDITIONER LEAKING

The leakage is probably from condensation and there should be some sort of drain for it. You should check to see if it is clogged or partially clogged. Also since you say it does it when it hasn't operated for a while you may want to check out where the lines pass through the wall and make sure that it is sealed up there so you don't get leakage from out side.

SOURCE: Hello We just installed a Sanyo KHS1271 mini-split

The condensate drain line was not properly installed. Make them pull the wall unit and correct the problem.
Be persistant until you are satisfied they have the problem corrected. Do not pay any additional money. If they do not correct the problem then report them online to the state board of heating and air. Fill out their requested complaint form and follow thru with a second complaint if you do not get total satisfaction from the contractor that installed the unit.
Hope this helps.

Why does my split ac unit leak inside the house?

This happens when the drain pipe is too high, or kinked. The pipe must be lower then the drain pan in order for the water to drain. This is a common problem.

I have a sanyo split system and one of the inside units creates ice around the coils. the filters are clean and there's nothing blocking the air around it. What can it be?

There are reasons for.
1. Dusty indoor coil and blower wheel - Clean it.
2. Less speed of blower motor- Replace capacitor/motor
3. Short of gas- Find leak and rectify.

Thanks.

Leaks water inside

Water leak is the common problem in split air conditioners.. It happens due to:

1. Air filter block 2. Evaporator coil Block. 3. Less rpm of blower motor. 4. Drain line blocked.

To rectify, service the unit completely. If blower motor less rpm, replace motor capacitor.

Cannot set a/c to operate automatically

sound to be in heat modenow. If you are after the cool mode, then if you have a cool setting and a heat temp setting, Lower the heat to almost off and set the cool setting to 74 degrees. See if the outside coils get warm. Make sure you are off manualo and n auto. If it runs, give it some time and the tenp of the outside coil will rise and the inside will get cold. Food Luck
