Question about Samsung RB2155SH Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Noticed fridge went quiet, then temp. gauge began to flash when fridge was closed. I reset the temperature and opened the fridge and it looked fine but as soon as i closed it again the gauge began to flash the only setting that would work was the quick cool and freeze but within a couple of hours that setting stopped working too, the freezer had defrosted and the fridge became warm. A very slight, barely audible hum coming from the fridge, the light is still working in the fridge and the thermostat but nothing else. Any Advice would be much obliged :)

SOURCE: SAMSUNG RS253BAWW NOT WORKING
the ice maker wont cycle untill the temp of the ice is around 10 degrees so if the freezer is at 15 or 20 due to some other malfunction then you will see the maker full of ice but it wont harvest and make another batch. so you could have a sensor bad, control malfunction, refrigeration issue, compressor, defrost system malfunction(you mentioned ice build up)

I have the same symptom too - freezer temperature flashes at -2. "Power Freezer" or setting it to any other temperature is not working either.
As a result, no ice being made. Please help!

it sounds like the refrigerator evap is frozen up causing the compartment to get too hot. shut the unit off and let it thaw out. then take the screws out of the cover to check the stryrofoam on the back side of the cover to see if theres broken spots on it causing the air to bypass the evap causing it to freeze. Theres two screws behind the light cover and two at the very bottom of the cover and two behind the decorative plugs about 1/2 way
