I assume you were able to fix this issue? If you were I would like some information. I am having the same issue while in DSim. I understand the issue has to be corrected in the dsim.cfg file but setting is changed when a label prints.

What else do I need to type labels on my citizen clp=621. Iv'e down loaded citizen driver 7.3.5.exe. I can not find the cd that came with the printer. I cannot find the file to type in the info I need. how...

What you need to do is purchase the label printing software for the printer. I do believe the CD that once came with the printer's packaging was just the printer drivers for the Windows 95-XP edition operating systems; and one had to buy the software program separately.

In any event, there is a company called Bar Codes Inc, that sold this discontinued product you own...their phone number is 1-800-351-9962. Perhaps they can help you

There's an online company called seagullscientific.com that sells software for this label printer too.

Here are the phone numbers to the printer's manufacturers/distributers:
United States of America (310) 781-1460
Germany: +49 (0) 711-3906 420
United Kingdom +44 (0) 20 8893 1900
Japan +81 (0) 42 468 4608

I have no personal or financial interest in any of these companies; just trying to help and pass on good info to you.

Printing too light

Hey,

You need to go to your driver, check on the darkness parameter on the advanced tab option.
Once you are there, you will see that there's a graduation from 0-10 or 0-20, depending on Printer driver you are using.
Try downloading your printer driver from www.nicelabel.cl and then you will have a 5 degree default.
You have to start testing little by little upgrading the degrees.

If that doesn't work, then you have to check the material you are using. Normally you must use wax ribbon to print on paper and resin ribbon to print on polypropilen. The ribbons look the same sometimes. To know about the label, try ripping it. If you can is paper, if you can't is pvc(Polypropilhene)

Error 02 - 574

Main code 2X : Mechanism control system error
574 Failed to detect the T reel FG during search.

This means the take up reel stopped rotating during forward search. It shut down assuming tape was spooling loose into mechanism. Could be just a faulty cassette tape. A common problem is also when labels have been placed in the wrong places on the cassettes, stopping the lid from opening fully and stopping the reel reaching the reel motor drive.Manually eject the tape and try another tape. If the fault continues, have a look for something in the way under the cassette such as post it notes, paper clips, torn labels etc.
Have you had the unit serviced since you got it?
Could be time to get it to a service centre for help.

Dear Sir, Madam, We recently installed our Zebra S600 labelprinter together with the Zebra Designer software. But the labelprinter doesn't print out our labels. We've searched the internet and...

It sounds as though it is printing test labels. Switch of and on again to reset.

If no change then try factory reset.

If it is ever necessary to return the printer configuration to factory default values, press the FEED

key and PAUSE Key at the same time while turning the power on. The default values will remain

active until the printer power is turned off. To save the default values in memory, press the MODE

key four times. The Darken, Position, and Calibrate LEDs will cycle on and then off indicating the
values have been saved.

If this does not work then you have a fualty logic board which write off the printer

My only problem so far is trying to get the backing off the label so I can stick the label where I want it.... is there a trick to this?

when you have cut the label slightly push together on one end as if you were folding it in half as there is a cut in the backing paper which will allow you to pull half of the backing paper off at a time

We are printing round labels on a 170XiIII plus I have no blackmark so it?s very difficult to calibrate this label When the printjob starts it backfeeds but not far enough to print the complete label I?ve...

No, well not really, the printer requires a area that it is allowed to touch where there is no image being laid, for if it did so allow ink on that area it would go on to the feed rollers and prevent them from gripping you paper.and producing marks on the edges..

but I guess, one may be able.. to place or stick a fake lead edge of paper on your paper, so that your printer may be able to grip your paper,, and you can place your image, or even putting in a custom page size that is ,20 inch extra long incorrect....

although this may work, the printer may or probably will indicate or go into a jam at the end of print due to page length being detected incorrectly, so you couldn't do a run, may get print warnings, and rear exit edge wouldn't print... but it might get you one at a time....give it a go, I'm only trying to explain why we need that edge and the back feed..so we can get a grip :)..hope this helps cheers..

I am getting a supply Rec Paper Cassette alarm error. How do i fix this and have it work again.

Hi ..

This error comes when the paper is not loaded properly in the cassette ... Follow the below instructions to load the cassette and I am sure you will not get the error again.

  1. Grip the cassette handle, and pull it out towards you until the cassette comes to a stop.
    remove_cassette_tray.gif

  2. Open a package of paper, and remove the paper stack. small_note.gif black_dot.gif If the paper is curled, uncurl it before placing it in the cassette. Failure to do so will cause paper creases and a paper jam. black_dot.gif 17 lb to 20 lb bond (64 to 80 g/m2 ) paper is acceptable. black_dot.gif The cassette holds up to approximately 500 sheets of 20 lb bond (80 g/m2 ) paper.

  3. Load the paper stack beneath the cassette's length guide (1) and width guide's claw (2).
load_paper_in_cassette.gif small_note.gif black_dot.gif Make sure that the paper stack does not exceed the length and width guides' claws in the cassette. Failure to do so will cause a paper jam. black_dot.gif Do not load extra paper when there is still paper left in the cassette. black_dot.gif Only load one size of paper into the cassette. Do not load different sizes of paper into the cassette at the same time. black_dot.gif Do not load labels or transparencies into the cassette.

  4. Gently insert the cassette as far as it will go.
small_note.gif black_dot.gif The cassette is for plain paper, colored paper or recycled paper only. Loading other paper in the cassette may cause a paper jam. black_dot.gif If copies are curled, or a paper jam occurs, remove the paper stack from the cassette. Turn it over and then place it in the cassette. black_dot.gif If you load paper while making copies, do not load a different paper size.
Closing the cassette When closing the cassette, make sure to push it in completely as far as it will go. If copying is performed when the cassette is not pushed in completely, it will cause a paper jam.

If copy paper is sticking out of the cassette Sometimes, when you pull out the cassette, paper may stick out, as shown in the illustration below. Make sure that the paper is neatly loaded into the cassette, before you push the cassette back into the main unit.

Don't forget to vote if this helps ... Cheers :)

Vcr eating tapes

When a VCR eats a tape, it can be cause by a couple things.

1. There is a rubber wheel called a "pincher wheel" that compresses the tape against the "capstan". The capstan is a shiny metal spindle connected to a motor. The pincher wheel can become worn and/or dirty (slick) from the oxide coating off of the tape. You can try cleaning the pincher wheel and capstan with alcohol or try using a re-grip solution on the pincher wheel. Last thing to do is replace the pincher wheel. Look to see that the pincher wheel is doing its job by pulling the tape through.

2. There is a small tire wheel called an idler tire. This tire pivots between the sending and pickup reels of the player. Its also used during fast forward & rewind as well as play. If the tire is worn, the tape won't be wound up as fast on the take-up reel as the sending reel during play. This means more tape is coming out of the cassette than can be wound up on the takeup reel. You can try using a re-grip solution on the idler tire or replace it.

Let me know if you need more information as to where to purchase these parts.

Good luck!
- Jim
