Usually sets of measuring cups come in whole cups, half and one third of a cup. This way you can use the three measuring cups for different ingredients at once. However it is a three-pieces set, which means it occupies more space. Therefore it depends on your necessities: if you need a single object that you can easily store and that allows you to measure different quantities with just one cup than the simple measuring cup is better for you. If, however, you'd rather measure multiple substances at once and don't have a storage issue than the set might be more useful for you.

How do I measure 100 grams of peas?? I use measuring cups.

cups measure volume , you wish to measure weight. Try 100 ml equivalent , or a tiny bit more. 100ml is just over 3 ounces of liquid equivalent. In theory one ml is the same as 1 gram but the measure is for liquid. (water I think) A teaspoon full is about 5ml/5 grams. Slightly over the 100ml mark is a very rough estimate. A weighing scale really would be better

How many place settings should I buy? How do you decide this?

It starts from 3, 4, or 5 piece sets. lids and saucers are separate. 3 piece set will have a plate, cup, and saucer. 4 piece includes a salad plate and 5 pieces also include either a bread and butter plate or a soup bowl.
english dinnerware will usually have 7 pieces: dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, cup, saucer, soup bowl and stand.
The number of setting you buy depends on the number of people in your family or the number of people you plan to have in your family in the future. It also depends on how much entertaining you do.

Lost manual; what is ratio of rice to water? thanks!

All right, this can be a bit confusing. IF you still have the cup that came with your Rice Cooker, use it to measure your rice. Then, inside the cooker there are lines showing how much water to add based on how many of the Zojirushi measuring cups you used of rice. THAT's simple.
IF you DON'T still have your Rice Maker measuring cup you will have to use a 3/4 cup U.S measuring cup. This equals the same amount as the rice cooker cup. For each 3/4 cup of rice you use, add that many cups of water. If you use 3/4 cups of rice twice, then add water to the 2 line.
In other words, a rice cooker measuring cup equals 3/4 cup of regular U.S measuring cups.
Hope I didn't confuse this too much. I hope this helps and if it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution. Good luck and happy cooking!

Try placing some "braces" rubber bands around the shafts of the beaters. This should tighten the hold of the shaft with the mixer and keep them more straight.

What is the tubing size for the windshield washer

simple solution is to take a piece of the tubing into any parts store and have them size it for you. Typically you can buy it rubber tubing by the foot. or, measure the inside diameter - the size of the inside hole - with a tape measure. But, then refer to the inside diameter when buying tubing.

The funnel is called a "diffuser". It just sets inside the measuring cup and will gently vibrate during a treatment to ensure all the medication runs off the sides the cup to be atomized. You can also ask your family Dr. to review the set up with you if you are concerned that you are not using it right.

Lost my instruction book...want instructions to make rice in cooker...ratio of rice and water please

I have a Toastmaster 3 cup rice cooker but think the ratio would be the same.
Long grain white rice - 2 rice measuring cups - water to 2 cup line = 8 (1/2 cup) servings
3 rice measuring cups - water to 3 cup line = 12 (1/2 cup) servings

Long grain brown rice - 1 1/2 Rice measuring cups - water to 3 cup line - 6 (1/2 cup) servings

For fluffy rice: After cooker shuts off, allow rice to stand for approx. 15 minutes, covered, before serving.

Hope this helps
