One-piece can openers are based on strength. You have to push hard in order to cut the metal. The rolling can openers instead use their little wheel to help the process and not as much strength is needed

How do you disassemble the pool and filter

  • gets lots of people
  • host a barbecue
  • and start dis-assembly
Of course, empty the pool first!
  • Then begin by removing the top rail
    • Screws will be on the piece over the joining rails.
  • then remove the ridgidizing bars
  • then remove the plastic coping strips
  • then lift off the liner off of the wall
    • Lay it into the pool
    • fold it, nicely into a square
  • locate the bolts & nuts that join the wall
    • remove them
    • then start rolling into a roll
This is where the multitudes of people come in, during the time the ridgidizing pieces were removed, the wall is very unstable & very wobbly!!!! People need to hold it from falling over and bending the wall. Once the wall is no longer attached in an oval or circle, and started to be rolled into a roll, you will need to have the people work as a team and lift out of the bottom ridgidizing pieces and stabilize the process of rolling the wall.
Once the wall is rolled up, gather up the bottom rails and the foot pads.

Good Luck.

My 35-70 nikkor lense focus seems to be blocked by a screw inside. every time i shake it, i can hear the screw rolling inside it.

Lenses, are very delicate things. If you don't have the education or skills and the right equipment I can't advice to open one. Not if you want to use it any longer with the quality needed for good pictures.
When a part came lose, or something broke inside the lens, you better don't use it and bring it to a Nikon repair shop. Ask what they think it will cost you and decide if you want it repaired or you better buy a new one.

How do I replace the spring in the latch door on my rn175

There are several methods for installing this little spring. My simple method. You will need 30 mm x 3 mm roll pin and a small piece of nail about 1/2 inch in length. It is very difficult to install the small factory roll pin so I use a longer one then cut off the access with Dremel. Remove the 3mm roll pin and pull out the lever discarding the broken spring. Fit the new spring on the lever using the 1/2 inch piece of nail that can pass thru the 3mm hole of the lever. The piece of nail should not stick out either side so that you can slide in the lever with short pin holding the new spring in place. Now insert the lever in place on the door and hold in position (temp pin aligned with 3mm holes in door ), lightly hammer in the long 3mm roll pin. The long roll pin will push out the temporary piece of nail holding the spring in place. Once the long roll pin is in place, cut off the extra length. Good luck

Lexmark 3500-4500 paper jams will not roll through

Try to open the printer cover to access the cartridge area. You should have enough space there to get a better hold of the paper jam. Carefully remove the paper. Make sure not to tear or leave any torn pieces of paper to avoid future paper jams.

ScanShell 800DXN is no longer pulling cards through the reader. How do I fix this?

I have repaired several of these scanners in the past so I may be of some help to you.

First disconnect the scanner from your computer it should not have any power to it when your doing this. You need a very small phillips screw driver and a can of air. Flip the scanner upside down. There are 4 small openings on the bottom one will be covered by a white or silver piece of tape you will need to remove the tape on that opening. Remove the 4 screws and gently lift off the cover. You will see a long black roller and on one side of it a white gear. Pay close attention to that white gear, no try an move the roller back and forth in a rolling motion as it it was turning but don't force it. If it moves even a little bit start blowing a good blast of air on that gear and try to roll it again to see if it moves some more then another good blast of air. Look closely because you will see some black flecks or flakes of dirt or dust. Keep trying to move it and keep blowing blasts of air until it can roll free. Once you get it to roll free and turn freely put the back cover on and reinstall your screws and hook it back up to your computer and test it. It should be able to scan now. The dust or dirt you removed caused your scanner to jam and now it should pull in a piece of paper and do the scanning process. If it will not scan at this point the motor has failed from the gears being bound up. You can contact Scanshell here to see if they will repair it for you or if its still under warranty they may pro rate it and send you another one here is their link http://www.card-scanner.com/index.html
Try my fix first it will confirm if it is bad or not but when you take of the one taped piece of paper covering the hole be careful not to tear it in case you need to return it to them.

I hope this helps you out and if so please leave me some feedback.

When replacing the ball joints in the front of a '96 Volvo 850 GLT can you just replace the ball joints or do you have to replace control arm or strut???

It comes as one whole piece and i just searched around for a control arm that might have removable ball joints, couldn't find one its one solid piece. Makes it cheaper for you but in all reality, you get a lot better of a product and it does keep the ball joints in better condition for longer. Also because since you get a new control arm you get the new bushings that help get rid of noises and gives you a better ride in the end. Hoped it help
