Question about Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer

1 Answer

All buttons cause machine to beep

I put clothes in the washer and I close the lid. I push a button to make a change like the temperature it just beeps. I push dampness and the machine starts. Most of the buttons just beep and do nothing to change the lights. Each press of a button causes the machine to beep three times really fast and makes no change on the display. No error codes are displayed. Please help.

Trying unplugging for 20 minutes maybe you can reset it.

How do you dry clothes in this machine please

A fairly common problem! The official instructions are

Before using your dryer, wipe the dryer drum with a damp cloth to
remove dust from storing and shipping.
1. Load clothes loosely into the dryer and close the door. Do not
pack the dryer. Allow space for clothes to tumble freely.
2. Turn the Cycle Control knob to the recommended cycle for the type of load being dried. Use the Energy Preferred Automatic Setting (,) to dry most heavyweight and medium weight loads. See "Drying, Cycle, and Temperature Tips."
3. Select a temperature setting on models with a Temp/Fabric selector. The cycle descriptions include temperature setting suggestions.
4. Push the START button.

Stopping and Restarting
You can stop your dryer any time during a cycle.
To stop your dryer
Open the dryer door or turn the Cycle Control knob to OFE
NOTE: The Cycle Control knob should point to an Off area when
the dryer is not in use.
To restart your dryer
1. Close the door.
2. Select a new cycle and temperature (if desired).
3. Press START

It is important to set the size switch setting into the Motor Controller's memory whenever a replacement Motor Controller and or Display Module is fitted
To set the size switch turn the power on at the wall and off at the machine. Press and hold the TEMPERATURE UP button then press the POWER button. SmartDrive will give 4 short beeps and the pattern of LEDs will change.
• Press SPIN SPEED UP button, the SPIN HOLD LED is on for (8.0kg) (650mm wide). • Press POWER to exit this mode.
If this doesn't work let me know

My cabrio washer won't unlock lid, dU error, can see a piece of clothing that is stuck through the glass lid, what do I do?

Sounds like the clothing is creating too much pressure on the door and giving you a door lock error. Unplug the wash machine and wait a few minutes, then, while pushing in on the door to overcome the pressure caused by the stuck article of clothing, have someone plug the unit back in. If you've done it right and pushed hard enough, the latch should unlatch.

I'm having problem with my front loader it is in a pause mode it stop working when i try to push the start button it just makes a beep-beep sound while trying to push buttons the door is close,it does...

It looks like you have a problem with the locking mechanism of the door.
This is a safety feature to prevent injury while the machine is running. First of all check the power supply and if found OK then you have to concentrate on the door. If the door is not closed properly or the device is malfunctioning then the machine will never switch on, no matter what you try.
PLZ. dont forget to rate my suggestion.

Loses power in spin cycle

First lid must be down before washer start spinning. Remove any obstructions in drain hose and or straighten drain hose to remove kinks. Lid or other object hit timer knob and turned the washer off - Make sure the Timer knob is pulled out.
If the lid was opened with too much force when adding clothes, it may have hit the timer knob, pushing the knob in.
If a laundry basket or other object hit the Timer knob, the Timer knob may have been pushed in shutting the washer off.
Washer lid is not locked (Not on All Washers) - The lid must be closed and locked for the washer to operate. Once the lid is closed, make sure the desired cycle is still selected and then press the Start button and listen for the lid to lock.
Make sure there are no loose metal objects such as coins and paper clips in the lid opening area. Metal objects can prevent magnetic switches from reacting correctly when the lid is closed.
If the washer has not drained, it will not go into spin.
Use a flashlight to inspect the holes in tub for foreign objects like screws, nails, bra wires, etc. and remove if present.

Is there a reset button for my Whirlpool Cabrio Washer? Every time I start a load of laundry to wash, the washer puts the cycle on pause at least 5 times. I have to hit start, wait for it to beep, hit...

Check the lid switch and its actuator on the lid. The pause you're getting is likely an open lid sensed by the washer control. Also try to push and pull the inner tub up and down a few times - if I remember correctly these washers have a floating basket, which engages the gears when there is enough weight inside. If there is not enough clothes it may not wash correctly (I don't remember exactly, but try it anyway, what do you have to loose? ;) ).

Whirlpool AWZ410 Washer/Dryer Washes But Will Not Dry!

I have the same problem. The half load / drying button is pushed in; the drying time set; I've reduced the load to almost nothing, but it won't dry. I've tried numerous cycles. The clothes spin, but are still damp at the end.

How would I go about checking my lid switch or fixing my clutch, if that's the problem?

Started the washer and then it stopped and machine

Try pushing the basket to the back so you can reach the lid switch housing - you should be able to re-align it by hand.
If that is impossible, that means the lid switch plastic housing broke loose and needs to be replaced.
I would need a model # so I can help you with instructions.
