Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Sometimes wireles goes down unexpectly

OK often it's the XP Zero Configuration service, try disabling that and it may be better... also get the latest driver updates... Often just to disable and re-enable the wifi adapter sometimes in network connections, brings it back without a reboot too.

SOURCE: Viao PCG-GRX650 won't shut down fully

DaveBaker,

Here are a couple of tips that I've collected that may address your problem.

Go to start>run>then type in "cmd" without the quotes. this will bring up the command prompt. next type in the following command: "shutdown -s" without the quotes again. This should tell your system to shutdown your computer entirely.

Next
Try doing this. Hold down "ctrl" and left click "shutdown". This skips some windows XP shutdown procedure and should do the trick.

And, finally

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831431
You cannot log off, restart, or shut down your Windows XP-based computer This article talks about an issue with Norton 2003 incompatibility.

Would appreciate any feedback as to which of these worked for you.
Thanks much!

SOURCE: 5.9 DIESEL ENGINE CUTS OFF WHEN DRIVING

Hi

From what I can gather, the engine cuts out and then the check engine light comes on, not the other way around, check engine light and then cut out?

If you switch on the ignition but do not start the engine, you will see that the check engine light is on. It won't go out until you start the engine.

When the engine cuts out, it is just as though you have switched on the ignition without starting the engine, the key is in the exact same position, and therefor the check engine light comes on purely and simply because the engine isn't running, not because it has sensed a problem, hence you have no fault codes, its perfectly normal.

If, however, the light comes on then the engine cuts out, then the reason for the lack of codes could be a short term electrical failure. If the power to the ECM were briefly cut then the codes would be erased immediately, but this would have to be a complete failure because there is a KAM (Keep Alive Memory) wire, which supplies permanent power to the ECM if I'm not mistaken. A good candidate for a complete failure is a bad main ground cable (loose or broken).

Wiring problems a just the worst ever to trace.

Just a thought to hopefully point you in the right direction.

Very best regards

SOURCE: Verizon FIOS Motorola 6200-2 HD box remote freezes

i'm a verizon employee currently working at a customer's house. just swapped out 3rd 6200 stb, the channels will seemingly change on their own(scrolling) after pressing the remote just a few times. the root of the problem is that the remote is not responding to the stb in the first place properly. all i can figure is that there is some type of ir interference. i've placed the remote 1" from the stb and the same problem exists. it's not the box and the remote is brand new, tried 3 remotes as well. there is something going on in the atmosphere around the box - in or outside the custmer's house. they were on vacation and when they came back this is the trouble they were having. i don't have an answer, just some type of possibilities. there is a power transformer outside on a pole approx. 100' from the house and we had bad storm related issues in the past week. i know it's a stretch, but you never know. could be surround sound/ stereo equipment generating some kind of field??????????? good luck.

Why does green light stay on when picture is shut off with cable remote from cable box

You need to "pair" your cable remote to your tv. The proceedure will vary with cable supplier. Comcast remotes come with a paper listing codes to put in. Metronet has the following: Press and hold setup until led light blinks twice. press a mode key tv dvd aux. press and hold ok key until the device turns off. Other suppliers, your on your own.

Motorola dcx 700 no power since a slight power

It's possible that the box is dead and need's to be replaced. One thing you can try is rebooting the box by unplugging the power cord and then plugging it back in. You can also try plugging it into a different outlet. Are you sure it's the box that's dead and not the tv?

TRYING TO PROGRAM WITH MY MOTOROLA CABLE BOX

If I understand correctly you are trying to program your Samsung remote to your cable receiver. Well, I will first give a few troubleshooting steps to do on the remote that are important before you do anything else, if you have yet to do these steps.

1. Has the remote worked on this cable box before and/or does it function the any other devices?

2. Try "New" batteries

3. Does the remote supplied with the cable box work?

4. Perform a IR (infrared) test on the remote, here is a link to show a IR that is transmitting properly.
If there is no light from the IR, then you have a bad remote, replace it.

5. Call your cable/satellite provider for the codes and steps to program it, they may have this information posted on their website so check there before you call them.

I hope this helps

Hi, I have a problem finding a code for my motorola DCX3200 with my universal remote control(cox.) All the other televisions in the house worked, but I can't get this one to respond at all. I have an LCD...

Here is the user guide for the Motorola DCX3200 in PDF format just in case you need it.

Now then here are some Codes for your Cox Universal remote. I understand you have tried some already but just in case you missed any.

Samsung 0060, 0030, 0178, 0019, 0056, 0032

Also give this a try.
  1. Turn on the TV, VCR, DVD, or entertainment center that you want the remote control to control.
  2. On the remote control, press the appropriate mode button for the device once.
    Television TV
    Stereo amplifier or receiver AUX
    DVD, PVR, VCR DVD
  3. Press and hold the SETUP button until the selected mode button blinks twice, then release the SETUP button.
  4. Using the number keys, enter 9 - 9 - 1.

Result: The selected mode button blinks twice.
  5. Aim the remote control at the device, and then press the POWER button once.
  6. Press the CH+ (or CH-) button one or more times until the device turns off.

    Notes:

In search mode, the remote control sends IR codes from its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first.
If, while pressing the CH+ button, you inadvertently pass the code, press the CH- button one or more times until the TV turns on.
  7. Press the SETUP button once to lock in the code.

Result: The selected mode button blinks twice.
  8. To search for codes for other devices, repeat steps 1 through 7.
Hope this helps, give me thumbs please!

I need remote control code number for motorola dvr 6416 III

If this is a remote by UEI or Atlas (usually the black remote that the cable company supplys with the box) the code is 1376.

To set the code, you will need to do the following:

Unlock the Cbl button:
Press CBL once. it will blink once.
Press and hold SETUP until CBL blinks twice. Release setup
Press 982
CBL will blink 4 times, indicating it is unlocked

Program the code in:
Press CBL once. it will blink once.
Press and hold SETUP until CBL blinks twice. Release setup
Press 1376
CBL will blink twice if the code is accepted.

Re-lock the CBL button:
Press CBL once. it will blink once.
Press and hold SETUP until CBL blinks twice. Release setup
Press 982
CBL will blink 2 times, indicating it is locked again

If it is not a UEI or Atlas remote, let me know the remote make and model

Kidz Remote

RE: Programming a Kidz Remote by Kissel By helpmedave (Guest Post) 1x1.gifthe procedure to program the remote is as follows.
Find the setup button recessed between tv and cable buttons. Use a toothpick to press the setup button until the led blinks once, keep holding it until it blinks twice then release. press tv or cable button then enter the 3 digit code for the device you want to try. the light will blink twice if the code is valid. ( yeah i know you don't have the codes ) (me neither ) if you successsfully program it to control a device, you can then program each button as follows. hold setup button until light blinks twice.press tv or cable as needed. press 995 the led will blink twice . press the button to program. enter channel number you want (may have to enter 2 or 3 digits 08 008 etc)press setup light will blink once.m select another button and repeat to program all buttons you wish to program.to lock in settings, press setup until led blinks twice. good luck.Posted on 08/09/2007

Universal remote code needed for motorola cable box (for comcast)

Hello, follow this link to download the manual and the codes for your remotes:
http://www.ofausa.com/remote.php?type=URC8800
just right click and save as on the download links.

if this does not work you can try the search method,
you do this by either holding down the device button eg: TV or if you have one the "magic" button for three seconds, a light should then flash twice to say you have done this correctly.
then press the keys 991 then the power button.
you must now press the channel up key (ch+) possibly upto 150 times while the remote cycles through every code.
Once your tv or device switches off stop pressing the ch+ key and press the power button to make sure it switches back on,
(if you press ch+ too many times you can go back by pressing ch-)
When complete press the magic or device key again to save the settings (light should flash twice to confirm)

Many thanks
Mark
