Hold the following TUNER button and VIDEO SELECT button and turn the main POWER button on. This will initialize the microprocessor and start the receiver. After this you can use the POWER button normally to power on/off the receiver.

No you can't use this remote to control other devices unless they are Denon devices. This is not a learning remote
