SOURCE: after dropping iphone in water phone is able to charge

Although the rice concept is a good idea, it is unlikely that it has aided in the evaporation of all moisture in the unit. I have fixed a number of 'dropped in water' devices (incl an IPOD nano) and I have followed the same process:
- take the unit apart
- remove battery, clean bat and charging terminals
- remove any connector (document where necessary) and leave out in open air to dry (or use a hair dryer on low setting / under a lamp).
- clean all connectors with rubbing alchohol.
In your case, pay close attention to the cable that supplies the screen and make sure the male and female ends are dry and clean. Also locate the backlight and see if there is any moisture around it.

To prevent inevitable iphone 7 LCD Screen damage and avoid repair costs, invest in phone cases and screen protectors for your iphone 7. Screen Protectors Made from tempered glass, screen protectors safeguard your phone against scrapes and scratches without compromising touchscreen sensitivity or image quality. Phone Cases There are many stores make durable phone cases and covers to provide extra security for your iphone 7 and protect it from scratches, drops, and dust. A good Clean Because your iphone 7's screen is the interface of the device, it is bound to get smudged and dirty quickly from the time spent using it. When cleaning your screen, never use a chemical cleaning solvent. Instead, use water and a clean, lint-free, scratch-resistant cloth, such as microfiber. Dampen the cloth-not the screen-and gently wipe off with even strokes.

My iphone 4 drop in my dishwater with bleach will it dry out and work again

Dropping a switched on cell phone into bleached water will certainly damage the electronics in the cell phone.
You can remove the battery and dry it out, but most likely it is damaged beyond repair.

Red screen

A popular trend as of late is sketching and designing on the iPad, iPhone and iPod. Maybe because of the versatility of these devices, maybe because it is so much fun; To make your designs even easier to work on and look better, try using a stylus. One of the best on the market right now is the iPhone Stylus Pen

I dropped my phone and now the screen won't work.

Please try resetting the phone.

  1. Press and hold the Home button (big circle below the screen) and the Sleep/Wake button(on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
  2. Continue holding both buttons (Ignore Slide to power off ) until the phone shuts off and begins to restart and apple logo appears.

If the screen is cracked, u can buy that online for around $50 and replace that.

Hope this helps.

IPhone Smartphone: dropped my iphone into water, it was still on then...

Do a hard reset (menu and power button together for 5sec). If that doesn't work your should take it to the apple store. If they won't help you, keep the iPHone in a warm spot near a radiator for up to a week. You can try to open the iPhone yourself to let the water evaporate faster and clean corrosion. There is an iPhone 4G Repair service that can dot it for you, but if you're a little tech savy you should use an iPhone 4G repair guide that teaches you how to open the phone yourself.

My iPhone is dead...need a replacement

First thing to do is check the water indicator.

Look directly down the headphone socket on the iphone, using a light you should see a white marker (or red if it's water damaged)

If it's still white take it back to apple and get a new one (if it's still under warranty.)

If it's red and you need a new one, the options are:

Ebay or get a pay as you go iPhone with no contract and unlock it (expensive but no contract)
