There is a little slide switch on the side of the memory card. Good luck!

SOURCE: Camera display shows "memory card error".

I would give this software a try:
http://www.download.com/VirtualLab-Data-Recovery/3000-2248_4-10610841.html?cdlPid=10801131
and be more vigilant about backing up your pictures. Flash memory can corrupt at any time. Good Luck.

SOURCE: Canon S3 IS: no picture on display

Call Canon for free tech support and I'd advise sending it in for free estimate. If your camera is more than a year old, you will qualify for the upgrade program which is often cheaper than repairing it.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: will the canon ixus 30 use a 8GB SDHC memory card,

Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 2GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity.

My powershot a410 gives me a memory card error what do i need to do? where on a mac can i put the memory card in?

If you're sure that any switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position, then the camera may simply want you to format the card in the camera. This will erase it so download any pics you want to save first. The easiest way to download to a Mac: create a folder on the desktop...insert the memory card into a card reader and the USB plug into a USB port on the Mac. An icon will appear on the screen, probably named "no name"....Double-click on it and your files will open. Highlight them and drag and drop them into the folder you created. Pics gone in DCIM folder. Using a Nikon s3000 coolpix camera, connected to computer, F:\s3000 is detected, within it is DCIM folder present, and within DCIM folder presents Nikon100 and Nikon101 folders,...

You cannot create new folders on an SD card and copy images to them, as the camera will not recognise them, since they were not create in the camera. Copy the entire contents of the card to a folder on your HDD, then format the card in the camera.

Kodak C190 camera. I moved my pics from my SD card to my computer. Then tried to transfer them back..after many tries, they are back on my SD card. I can view them by putting the SD card in my laptop. When...

This should do it for you: Insert the SD card into your laptop or computer. In the SD card go to "New Folder" name that folder "DCIM" in the "DCIM" folder create a new folder. This one you will name "101KC190" (I'm pretty sure you have the Kodak Easyshare 190, correct?) Now, transfer all of your pictures into "101KC190." Insert the SD into your camera and it should work. email me if you need to kylejwoody@hotmail.com

I need to transfer internal memory photos onto memory card

First need to take off the SD card; default settign make the SD card as main stored when this is inside the camera.

Take off the SD card and send the internal memory pics at pc folder (use USB connection); insure that the pics are in this pc folder, them delete the files in "internal memory".

Take on the SD card inside tha camera and send pics from pc folder at camera, confirm that the pics are there.

Hope helps.

Photos vanished - but may still be on stick???

Two things you can try. 1. Get a separate card reader and use it to transfer your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. 2. Take the card to a Walmart store that has a Kodak Picture Kiosk machine. There, you can print the pics or even make a cd of them.

Problem with SD card, Canon Ixus 100 IS

Could be the camera isn't seeing/reading the card properly.

I'd check the contacts on the card, and in the camera are clean, free of grease & dust.

Rather than do anything drastic, Have a look at the Canon website and or contact them, Details below.

Memory card is not working...

Hi,

You should not use the memory card from other mobile to motorola. When you insert the memory card two folders will be created automatically (Sounds and images) You have to put the songs and images in the relevant folder, then only you can access. Otherwise it will display that you don't have files in the memory card.
Take a copy of all the songs and images to your pc.
Then follow these following steps
1. Format the memory card.
2. Insert the memory card to motorola
3. Transfer the files and folders to the folder(Automatically created folder)
4. Safely remove hardware

Now you can enjoy music.

Cheers...!

I have a folder of photos on my camera which I can see on the computer but I cannot see on the camera when I go on the Quick View. How can I see the folder of photos on my camera?

did you put the folder onto the camera using a PC ?
Most cameras make their own file structure, and so you cannot view any added folders. You would have to put the picutres into the folders created by the camera -  usually Card\DCIM\100_1  or similar.
Dont create folders on your card, always put the files into the correct folder.

Restarts

I tried to work on it and come to one solution thougn with a lengthy procedure.
First format your card.
Click photos using Phone Memory as target folder.
Create a sub folder in your memory card.
Move your picture into that subfolder of memory card by marking the photo. Don't move the picture directly, but use the "Open Folder" function of Memory Card in Options when "Select the folder" is displayed.

Hope it works!!!!!!
